Did you know that all these tiny hairs on tomatoes are potential roots. That is why when we transplant, we always plant low and cover some of the hairs to insure a strong and healthy plant root base.

Using high-quality ingredients can take your cooking to a new level, and this principle applies to the spices and dried herbs we use as well. But all too often, the supermarket spice aisle contains jars that have taken months or even years to get there and may contain additives and fillers (or maybe they've just sat there for a while).

Growing your own microgreens and dehydrating them for use as spices is a great way to insure full nutrition and freshness. This is an example of basil. Once you taste the powerful flavor, I am sure you will agree.

These are a great substitute for the store-bought veggies and are packed with nutrients. They can be grown with either well water or filtered public water. No synthetic fertilizers needed.
