This Friday (5/29) Second Snuggles will be collecting stuffed animal donations at the farmers market! Folks are invited to drop off one bag or box per family. (No stuffies with electronics or hard plastic pieces, please!) 😊

Second Snuggles aims to support a circular economy and keep well-loved toys out of the waste stream. Every donated stuffie gets cleaned, repaired if needed, and rehomed to be loved again. 🥰

There will also be a Mini Stuffie Spa! If you have a favorite stuffie, bring it over for a brush-out, cleaning, and refresh while you are at the farmers market, FREE OF CHARGE. One per person. 🎉

They'll be set up under the pavilion from 3:00-6:00pm - We hope you'll join us!

WOW! What an incredible kick off market we had on Friday! 🎉

PS - Did you know that we started a new 'borrow a blanket' program this year?! It's simple: We'll have a tote of picnic blankets that can be used during the market's open hours every Friday on a first come, first served basis. 👍

It might not look like much but a well organized shed is a MUST for any farmers market...Especially on opening day! Since ours is Friday, this humble little market shed just got some much needed TLC! 🤣

The weather forcast looks PERFECT for Friday afternoon and we really hope you'll join us for all of the fun things we have planned while we help kick off Hardwick's biggest annual event: SPRINGFEST! 🎉🌷😊

From 3:00pm-6:00pm at Atkins Field you'll find:
- 20+ market vendors!
- A mini farm & garden expo including plant sales, soil blocking & seed snailing demonstations, tool sharpening and a Q&A tent with extension master gardeners!
- Food trucks and other prepared foods including: Chef Nadav - Fine Dining in Vermont's NEK Chez Poutine Aladdin & Maria's Kusina
- Cocktails for sale from St. Johnsbury Distillery
- Kids activities, including face painting
- Yard games (Co****le & yard yahtzee!)
- GREAT live music from Michael Perry Music

And don't forget, starting at 7:00pm, there will be EVEN MORE great live music at the pavilion, hosted by The Civic Standard! 👏

So come hungry, hang out, and bring your dancing shoes! 🤭

The Hardwick Farmers Market was recently featured in the The Hardwick Gazette!👍

This piece highlights the impact of our market's EBT program and our participation in NOFA-VT's Crop Cash (& Crop Cash PLUS) programs. 🎉

A few highlights from the story:
- "This program [SNAP] and its associated incentives brought $10,310 to our farm and food vendors (in 2025) which was nearly 10% of the total sales for the year.”
- "Farmers markets are for everyone! There’s no sign-up required to participate, just bring your EBT card (if you have one) to the Market Info shed during open hours...and we’ll walk you through how it works.”

📍 Another day of advocacy at the Vermont State House...This time for 3SquaresVT Awareness Day!

💥 The Hardwick Farmers Market is proud to participate in NOFA-VT's Crop Cash & Crop Cash PLUS programs, which allows us to double (or TRIPLE) EBT benefits spent at the market.

👏 Yesterday we connected with colleagues, listened to testimony, attended a press conference and had multiple 1:1's with legislators.

😊 It's days like these that remind this market manager how important it is to be active in civic spaces, to speak up for ourselves & our communities, and (perhaps most importantly) to hold onto HOPE for the future.

✨ The folks in this building are trying to make Vermont a better place to live and work. It's truly powerful that we have the ability to connect with them so directly and work toward positive change, together.
