Hanover Farmer’s Market is a friendly Saturday morning stop where you can meet your local growers, have access to the freshest produce around and enjoy catching up with neighbors and friends. The Mission of Hanover Farmer’s Market is to provide a friendly, convenient, and reliable direct-marketing connection between growers and customers for reasonably-priced Jo Daviess County homegrown, homemade,
and handmade items. As a result, please contact the Health Dept. (815-777-0263) to see what is needed for your operation to do business. All vendors should abide by all federal, state, and municipal laws, rules, and regulations. Each vendor is responsible for their own booth. You should also consider liability insurance for your market activities. There is no insurance of any kind associated with the market or the Village of Hanover. Market is every Saturday at the corner of Jackson and Jefferson in Hanover, IL. Market begins on the first Saturday in May—snow, rain, or shine—and runs until the first Saturday in October. Market runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Set-up time starts after 8 a.m. Tear-down should be done by 11:30 a.m. As a marketing tool, we encourage vendors who are part of this market to use the Hanover Farmer’s Market page (www.facebook.com/hanoverfarmersmarket) to inform the market’s customers of the homegrown, homemade, and handmade items they will be selling at the market that Saturday from 9 a.m. To show our sincere thanks to the village of Hanover, vendors should make a suggested donation of $10 to $15 (non-refundable). Make the donation payable to Hanover Chamber of Commerce as a check, money order, or cashier’s check (including your name, address, phone number & e-mail). On the first day of market, give the donation to the contact person. Market runs from the first Friday in May to the last Friday in October. There are no partial donations or refunds. To be a good market, we need to keep regular vendors coming. One time setups are permitted but discouraged. There is NO bathroom, use of electricity, water, open fires, or use of cooking grills. All vendors are responsible for picking up any greens, litter, paper, garbage, etc in their area before leaving. There is no assigned parking unless otherwise directed.
