The second Burgaw Farmers Market will be held simultaneously with the 6th Annual Bluegrass Festival from 11AM to 4PM. Local live bands will be playing all day, there will be food trucks, beverage carts, bounce houses, axe throwing, pumpkin patch, raffles, tractor show, and line dancing! We will have over thirty local vendors set up, on the beautiful century old Humphrey Farms, Inc. while you enjoy the music put on for the 6th Annual Bluegrass Festival! It will be a gorgeous fall day, so pack your picnic blanket or chairs, shop the vendors, listen to live music, sip on a beverage, and face plant in your food of choice. This collaborative event will have a $15 entry fee for the Bluegrass Festival. We welcome you all, and can not wait to see you on October 24th!

We have reached over 1000 signatures and tonight we received a response from one council member! The text amendment, that I submitted to the town last month, is not up for review until the November Town of Surf City council meeting. However, it appears we will be discussed at the week’s workshop as well! Thank you all for the continued support, and we hope to return to you all soon!

The text amendment has been submitted to the town of Surf City, as well as the $300 payment for said request to be reviewed. No guidance or assistance in wording was provided by the town’s employee that I had a meeting with, so we will not know until it is up for review at the November meeting. Until then, make the drive to Burgaw where not only does the town of Burgaw support the Burgaw Farmers Market, but the community enjoys it as well! Our next market will be October 24th 11-4 pm in conjunction with the annual Bluegrass Festival held on the century old Humphrey Farms. See you all there! ❤️
