Well…. I guess it is that time of year. I was sure enjoying the weather last week. I finished up all our outdoor cleanup knowing our luck was ending soon. Did you??

Update on Instagram: still locked out, any messages are not from us(ie we aren’t selling bitcoin or cars😢) I’m a little more hopeful today that this will be resolved. I actually wasn’t told my account doesn’t exist today. This was not the case last week. So hopefully their tech support team is on it. 🤞

This time of year I do a lot of reflecting! Looking back at the last season gives me perspective. We are always looking for ways to improve. So we look at what went right? What went wrong? How can we improve the shopping experience? In the midst of the season, there isn’t too much time for this type of reflection. The season is short and we spend most of our time just putting out fires and getting our daily tasks completed. But those questions run through my mind. I’d love to hear your take on shopping here. What can we do to make your experience better? Over the top? Or just plain more enjoyable? 🌸

Does your holiday countdown begin after Halloween or after Thanksgiving? I like to be done shopping and decorated before December 1st. So I can just sit back and enjoy the beauty of the holidays. This means if I’m not having Thanksgiving, I will start decorating soon! When you do begin preparing for the holiday season? 🎄

My air plant jungle! No dirt whatsoever… soak plants once a week for 30 minutes, let them dry on a towel then arrange anyway I want. Love the simplicity!

Today is a beautiful day to get outside and enjoy the colors of fall!

Wondering what we are doing closed on a beautiful day like today? Winter cleanup! Outside in our gardens we leave our perennials standing and leaves in our gardens to catch the snow to provide their roots with an extra layer of protection from the cold. The other job of piles of fall leaves is to provide a home for pollinators or insects to hibernate. This is very important. Pollinators are needed for the majority of our fruits and vegetables. No pollinators … no food. But inside the greenhouses is a different story, there we clean up all the leaves and plant material to keep our greenhouses insect free which is important for our plants health. Life ….it really is all about balance!
