Spring Started Pullet Preorders 🐓

Along with the breeds we raise here at The Rose Feather Coop, we’ll also be hatching and raising some exciting breeds from other farms for spring! These birds will be hatched and grown out right here with us.

Breeds will include:

-Hmong’s
-Shetland hens (offered in partnership with one of our favorite local farms, Painted Wings Farm ❤️)
-Black Copper Marans
-Welsummers
-White Leghorns
-BBS Ameraucanas
-Red Mottled Pita Pintas

We’ll also be offering a little special for the first 5 customers who purchase from this group: Buy 2, Get 1 Easter Egger or Olive Egger FREE!

A little reminder of what we’ll be raising from our own breeding groups, too:

❤️Large Fowl Salmon Faverolles
❤️ Icelandics
❤️ Easter Eggers & Olive Eggers

All of these breeds will be offered as spring started pullets!

A few things to keep in mind:
• A 50% deposit per bird is required to secure your started pullet preorder.
• We will not be taking preorders for hatching eggs or chicks. Those will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis as they become available.

We’re excited to grow out a variety of breeds this coming season and offer everyone some new options for their flocks!

If you have questions or would like to reserve started pullets, feel free to send me a DM or text the number listed on our page.

A little introduction for those who are new here!

Hi everyone! We’re David & Amanda, and behind The Rose Feather Coop is our little family, along with our three girls, Ellarose, Heather & Adelaide! ❤️

What started as Amanda’s chicken obsession has grown into a family project that we truly love every minute of.

We’re a small, family-run farm, and we take a lot of pride in raising our birds with care, giving them plenty of attention, and sharing our love for these amazing breeds with others. There’s always something happening around here, and with three little girls in the mix, life is never boring!

We’re so happy to have you following along, whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just found our page. Thank you for supporting our little farm, cheering us on, and being part of our fun family hobby❤️

Thank you for sharing! We couldn’t agree more. Icelandics have some truly impressive survival instincts. They’re alert, resourceful, quick on their feet, and incredibly predator-aware.

We’re so excited to watch this batch grow out and see the incredible variety of patterns develop. Switching our main breeding rooster has already proven to be such a rewarding decision! His offspring are showing beautiful diversity in their coloring and patterning, with nearly half displaying rose combs, a trait we’re especially excited about in our New England climate.

We can’t wait to see how these birds continue to develop and to watch this line make its way into more backyard flocks. Here’s to next season! ❤️

My Icelandic grow outs from The Rose Feather Coop are really getting some cool colors in!

They just found the cedar tree behind their coop and just like their grown up friends hatched in March they took no time figuring out how to roost in it. They’re the hardiest chicken I’ve come across with the best survival
Instincts and legs like a road runner 😂 Russell’s never catching one despite his best attempts!

Slowly but surely, Salmon Faverolles are becoming a favorite around here. 🥹 (although Icelandics will always own my heart)

They’re truly one of the friendliest breeds we’ve raised, always happy to be around the kids and follow us around the yard. My husband calls them our little gnomes. 🖤

Our Salmon Faverolles are looking stunning! We are soo excited to offer them next season🤩

Our sweet baby girl is here! ❤️

Adelaide arrived September 11th, and we are completely in love with our newest little addition.

With her arrival, we’ll be signing off for the remainder of the season to soak up this precious time as a family and adjust to life with our newest little one.

We’ll get back to any questions in the next few weeks once things settle in here. Thank you all so much for your patience and continued support of The Rose Feather Coop! ❤️

Little chicken keepers in the making!

Our daughter Ellarose is really starting to bond with our Pita Pinta, Ruby. Ruby’s calm, gentle, and curious personality makes her the perfect chicken for our girls🖤🖤

She lives with our Spitzhauben flock!

Meet Yondu 🤎

Our new breeder cockerel for our Salmon Faverolle program, and already a very special keeper.

The pullets have taken to him so quickly, and I’m already loving what I see in him. Especially his beautiful coloring, type, feathering, and overall presence. Even at this young age, he’s incredibly gentle and has such a sweet temperament.

He’s still got plenty of growing and maturing to do, but I have a really good feeling about this boy and what he’ll bring to our brand new breeding program!

Formal welcome to The Rose Feather Coop, Yondu. 🤎
