Wyoming Elk Hunt 2026
First time going to Wyoming, and I was blessed enough to harvest an elk on the first morning of our hunt! The hunt was public land archery only draw. Hunted with a guy from Wyoming I had met less than 15 hours earlier, and he called in an Elk for me. My close friend and 2 guys from Wyoming that we camped with helped me pack out the meat! First time in Wyoming and this was my first Elk to harvest! Was a great trip!!

Corbin Hane shot this bull in mid-September in southern Colorado in the Rio Grande National Forest. The bull elk was walking across a game trail just before dark, about 35 yards away, when he got this opportunity.

September 2026.
I was fortunate to draw an Oklahoma controlled hunt pronghorn tag in Cimarron County this year. Since this is a once-in-a-lifetime draw, I put in a lot of time pre-scouting and covered a ton of ground to find the right buck. All the planning and miles paid off on the second day when I located and harvested a great buck. He taped out a little over 15 inches with impressive mass. He was also wearing a GPS collar and ear tags since 2022 that was returned to the biologist. Patience and preparation came together for a successful hunt and a great Oklahoma trophy.
