💐 Gridley Farmers Market is like a little slice of summertime heaven on the main street in our idyllic ‘hallmark’ small town.

Mark your calendars, and set aside these 4 summer evenings to come for dinner with our amazing food trucks, shop local for fresh veggies and artisan crafts, and then sit on a picnic blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the outdoor concert with your friends!

Chicago Farmer was EPIC. Not only is he pure talent, but the way he connected with everyone, incorporated our town & brewery into the show, and treated us all so very special was such a gift! What an incredible evening!

I Love Small Towns & Farmer’s Markets. Kids at Small Town Farmer’s Markets Love Harmonica and Songs about Deer, and Ice Cream. Thank You Gridley Farmers Market Gridley, IL for having me and thanks to everyone who made it out to a show this Summer in small towns, big cities, and everywhere in between. Meet MARGARITA, a local artist we know you love
❤️Here is her story:

My name is Margarita Volkova. I am from Ukraine, from the small town of Kherson. It is as green, quiet and friendly. I have two adult children who have families of their own. And the greatest joy in life is my little two grandchildren.
My main job in my hometown was working at an investment company for many years.
On February 24, 2022, Russian troops invaded the territory of Ukraine. Moscow unleashed a full-scale war that destroyed entire cities and claimed numerous lives of Ukrainian civilians, as well as military personnel on both sides.
From the first days of the war, my hometown of Kherson and the Kherson region were under Russian occupation.
Part of the Kherson region is still under occupation.
My family and I left our hometown in the first days of the war.
We arrived in America in April 2022.

In Normal I study English at Heartland Community College. I draw in my free time. I love to draw since childhood. Now this occupation for me is like art therapy. I am completely immersed in the process and dissolve in creativity.
I hope you enjoy my paintings. I paint with love.

We are so excited to have Front Street Creamery join us for our Backroads Music Fest with at Gridley Farmers Market (GFM) this Thursday, Aug 28th! It’s going to be a fabulous finish to our summer markets & music! even is making an ice cream just for us! GFM mint (mint, Oreo and marshmallow) Yum! You can also grab some other flavors like BeEPG, sorbet, and more!!
