M E E T your GfM TEAM:
Kayla Carroll, Katie Bachelor & Abby Huette. We have been at this since the spring of 2023. This is the 4th year of Gridley Farmers markets & we are so amazed at how this little market has grown to a community & county-wide event. Never did we imagine how much life, laughter, music & camaraderie this market would bring to our community! THANK YOU to each and every person who has showed up, supported our vendors, cheered on the musicians, bought the treats, invited friends, and shared our posts online! It takes a village, and we have a one-of-a-kind village here in Gridley!!
Kayla ~ Vendor Coordinator & Co- Director
She emails the vendors each year to get us started and every market she creates a map & coordinates space assignments. She navigates the center street crazy where we have more numbers painted on the streets than we do residents- and she chalks new space #’s weekly. She is first on the scene & always there at the end. She’s amazing! And, sadly, she is going to step down this year after 4 years of volunteering and serving us. Please send her a note of thanks or give her a pat on the back if you see her!
Next we have Abby Huette, who has been a steady CFO - chief financial officer! Receiving vendor space payments and keeping our books in line. She has been faithful and constant from the beginning, and always with a smile!
And, lastly Katie Bachelor~ Co- Director and manager. I manage our marketing and social media (so, yes, it’s me writing this). I coordinate the food trucks and music as well as liaison with the Village board and McLean county Health dept. I’m always on the lookout for new vendors, and ways to spread the word about our sweet market, ALL so the vendors and food trucks leave with income and smiles because they met YOU.
Which brings us to YOU, our fans, customers, & friends. Whether you have been here from the beginning or just came to the last market, thank you for being a part of our community~ our GFM family! Meet you at the market~ next year 😉 !
