It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved owner and friend, Mr. Joe Mathena. (Pennington’s produce owner that was on both US 135 and at the big white tent in front of Pennington’s Mobile Home Park)
Joe will be greatly missed, by so many. He loved opening the produce stand each season. Joe always thought the hard work was worth the satisfaction of knowing people were getting good produce at affordable prices and our local farmers were staying busy. He loved to sit and chat and laugh with all of you, you truly made his days better and we hope he touched each of your lives in someway too. (feel free to share memories below)
Joe had a huge heart and as his beloved friend I will truly miss him more than words can express and I will always be grateful for his friendship. Thank you from all of us at Pennington’s Produce.
