🚪 A Note to Our Valued Customers at Sir Loin Meat Company 🥩

You may notice our front door is locked when you arrive — but we are OPEN and so glad you're here! 🙌

Simply text the number on our door and we will let you right in. We promise the wait is short and the meat is worth it! 😄

Here's the full story and the heart behind this decision:

Over time, we began experiencing an increase in homeless neighbors coming through our front door. We welcomed them — because we genuinely believe every person is made in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity. ❤️ However, some began lingering for extended periods, and unfortunately, we discovered that product was being taken from our freezers without payment. As a small, local business, that's something we simply cannot sustain. 😔

Rather than turning our backs on people in need, we made a different choice. ☀️ During these hot summer months, we've opened our back door so our homeless neighbors can come in from the heat, rest, and find some relief — where we can also keep a watchful eye on our inventory and operations.
We also are working to connect them with local resources.

It's not a perfect solution, but it's our attempt to balance compassion with responsibility — to love our neighbors while also being good stewards of the business God has entrusted to us. 🙏

🇺🇸 Memorial Day — A Double Salute 🐂

I've been thinking about this all morning.

We talk a lot about veterans on Memorial Day. And we should. But I don't think we talk enough about where most of them came from.
They didn't come from big cities. A lot of them came from places where the nearest grocery store was 30 minutes away. Places where your last name told people everything they needed to know about your family. Where you learned to work before you learned to drive. Small towns. Ranch land. Farm country. 🌾

These were kids who grew up getting up before sunrise — not because somebody made them, but because the animals needed feeding and the work didn't wait. They already understood duty before the military ever defined it for them. 🤠

And when the call came, they went.

They left fields mid-season. Left their daddy's ranch in somebody else's hands. Left mothers who stood on porches and watched trucks drive away and never stopped praying. And a lot of them didn't come back.

So yeah — I'm giving a double salute today. 🫡🫡

One for the uniform.
One for the boots they wore long before the uniform ever existed.

To the ranching families, the farming communities, the small-town graveyards with flags whipping in the wind over headstones most of the country will never visit —

We see you. We honor you. We won't forget. 🇺🇸

🙏 And to the families of the fallen — the mamas, the daddies, the wives, the children, the brothers and sisters who have carried a quiet grief that most people around them will never fully understand — I want you to know something. Your loved one is not forgotten. The sacrifice they made, the life they lived, the person they were before they ever put on that uniform — it mattered. It still matters. We trust the God who holds the harvest to hold you still. And we are holding you in our hearts today.
