I have put this post for as long as I possibly can.
With that we will not be able to have U- pick berries this year as the berries just could not hang on to the blooms due to the three frosty mornings..
😢😢😢
We are heartbroken. We love this activity for all of our customers.
It is a great family tradition.
We may have enough berries to do sales at the farmers markets, but not many. We hope you visit us next year for U -picking.ļæ¼

Update on the strawberry patch!!šŸ“
We took all the frost covers off today and we did have a small amount of ripe berries( Jim always lets me pick the first ones) We are hopeful the blooms that are there now will produce berries for u-pick. We did have some damage from the freeze/frost. It will be easier to see how much damage as time goes on..
Strawberries are my favorite item we raise and it’s just so subject to mother nature. We will update you as things go a little further… pray for no more freezing temperatures.šŸ“ ļæ¼

The asparagus is coming in really heavy right now. We will have it at Fortville farmers market on Thursday from 4 to 7 and farmers market at the fairgrounds Saturday from eight to noon and Fisher’s farmers market from eight to noon as well…

If you would like to come and you pick some of your own asparagus, we can make that happen. You can pick a pound of asparagus in about maybe 10 minutes. It’d be a great time if you are one that likes to freeze vegetables.
Please just text us to see if we are going to be around 765-606-1069 or Jims number 765-635-7974..

While you’re here, you can stroll through the greenhouse and look at all the flowers..( ļæ¼ definitely looks like spring).
And we still have loads of asparagus crowns if you’re wanting to get those planted.
Have a great weekend!

Premium asparagus root stock for sale:
These are jersey night and Jersey giant, all male root stock.
We decided to tear up a small patch so we thought we’d see if anybody is interested in buying these roots. These are five times larger than you would usually get so I would venture to say if taken care of properly this year you could harvest next year.
5$ a crown. Some crowns we can’t separate because of the entanglement of the roots so they have three and four crowns per bunch.
