Another war. Another loss.
No, I am not talking about the current war America is busy losing, I am talking about the defining event of the last few decades, the war on terror. Osama Bin Laden would be dancing in the streets if he could see the state of America today. America is alone. Twenty five years of perpetual war. Thousands of our best and brightest dead. Trillions of our hard earned tax dollars flushed down the toilet and gone forever. Wasted on war. Wars that produced the grand total of ZERO for the American people.
Our government's first reaction to the evil attacks was to remove freedoms from the American people. These actions have done nothing but grow over the years. Every invasion of our personal space, the eradication of our rights and our pursuit of happiness, all forced upon the American people under the guise of National Security.
Bin Laden wanted to destroy America. People said, that it will take a lot more than a couple of airplanes. They were right. The airplanes were evil. The destruction of America was self inflicted.
Think that I am over-reacting? Look at America today. STILL locked in a forever, unwinnable war. The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again while expecting an improved result, likewise, the definition of fighting no-win wars for 80 years is foolish and amazingly stupid. Our nation is locked into crippling debt. Our people are hungry, unhealthy, stressed and stretched to limit by sky rocketing costs and crumbling pay.
The duty of a government is to serve the needs of its people. Hence the name "public servant". For over two decades, our government has taking it upon itself to dictate to the American people what they do and do not need and want. A government that has done everything in its power to consistently move money from everyday Americans, to the wealthy elite. A government that preaches capitalism to the masses, while approving back door mergers that create monopolies in almost every economic sector. The CEO of Boeing. for example. His base annual salary, before stock shares and bonuses and the like is 32.8 BILLION dollars. This number sounds big, but does not register into our reality as most people cannot ever imagine this kind of wealth. $90,000 dollars a day. That is what this salary means in numbers Americans can relate to. That is every day. Sundays, Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July. He does not build planes. He does not design planes. His job is not involved with the quality of the product or the quality of the materials. He does not care about his workforce or how many of them require government assistance to survive. His job is the stability and increase of the stock price. Period. He answers to share holders, period. How many jobs and salaries like this are sucking on the profits of American corporations? And the reason we can't compete with China is that they are cheating somehow. Right, keep pi***ng on my boots and telling me its raining.
Osama won, there is no doubt about that. A nation run on greed is doomed to failure. A nation designed to serve the wealthiest few at the expense of the masses will never endure. The question is, can we the people of America take back control of our future. Can we have a voice in the direction of our country. I am sure that we can. It will take some highly skilled and dedicated people to lead us to a return to a prosperous, happy and healthy nation. We better stop looking at the flag flying over a candidate, and start listening to the words coming out of that candidates mouth. WHEN you vote, be intelligent. I am asking you to not vote like your father or grandfather did. I am asking you to look out your window and make decisions based on what you actually see, not what you are told to see. An educated voter is the greatest fear the wealthy elite and the power hogs have. Lets stop thinking about how we will spend our imaginary five thousand dollar bribe. Let us instead, start thinking how we can help a neighbor in need. Wouldn't that actually make America great.
