Muzzle loader season opens in PA tomorrow!
We'll be here from 9:00-2:00 or so, then
we'll come back at 7:00pm.
Most of you know what to do if you want to drop off while we aren't here. But if you don't, shoot us a text, or just follow the directions on the back door.

but seriously....we're looking for someone to start ASAP.

We need someone able-bodied enough to lift deer off the rail and break them down.

We can do part-time, seasonal.
Or we can provide more hours if you want to cut beef as well.

Update on Friends Stockyards progress of a possible opening. We have applied for a grant thru the George Edwards Western Md. Economic Development Fund . We are just looking for enough to cover cost of all the fire requirements and ADA requirements. Please keep your fingers crossed for us as the committee will be meeting again Friday September 25th. The committee ran out of time during last months meeting to be able to discuss our project. We are hopeful they will be able to discuss our situation during this months meeting so we can move forward on getting the means necessary to satisfy the state fire marshall and the counties requirements for an occupancy permit. We would like to thank all of our loyal customers who have been hanging in there with us thru all of the ups and downs . Without out you , the farmer , we would not have been able to get this far. We are hopeful we are in the homestretch of the race to be able serve our agricultural community. We are praying the committee will see Friends Stockyard worthy enough of the committee’s support not only for us ,but for all our local farmers. Attached is the four voting members of the committee feel free to reach out and let your opinions be known , it not only helps the sale barn, but it will also help our agricultural community. Thank you.
