As October keeps moving along we have been getting more and more questions about when we will be uping our festive game and bringing out a little Christmas?!?!

As such we want to invite you all to enjoy a little Holiday First Look on Monday November 2nd!

Our elves will be hard at work on Sunday the 1st helping to prep the store for all things merry and as such we will be brining in all the cheer when we open up the doors on Monday the 2nd.

The holidays are always such an exciting time of year and we are so excited to share another season with you!

23 years what ?!?!?!?

We are beyond thankful to this wonderful community and to all the people who have helped bring Art of the Table into its 23rd year!

23 years of making people laugh, bringing joy through good w**e and food, 23 years of helping people create opportunities to connect and share time over an artful table and we couldn't be more thankful and more excited for what the future continues to hold.

We are keeping our celebrations simple this year but would love to share this exciting anniversary with the amazing community that has made these years possible. Join us anytime from 10-8pm, Wednesday October 20th as we celebrate with a few in store treats and plenty of smiles to share!!

Can we take a moment to reflect on the pure magic that is ?!?!?
Another huge highlight on our staff adventure up north a few weeks back, there is something so tangibly majestic about this place.
The food and atmosphere as always was beyond amazing, so simply delicious as it nourishes body, heart and soul. Really there are not enough words to express how amazing this place is...IYKYK and if you don't by all means get up there soon!

Another huge highlight for our staff on our "Up North" adventure was a trip to a shared crush pad that was buzzing with activity! We are so thankful to have the visionary behind it all and the visionary behind Left Foot Charley W**ery , Bryan Ulbrich take us through the magic!

In the middle of harvest and on an active day of pressing Chardonnay grapes, Bryan took the time to show us around and offer up some delicious w**e sips. His passion and vision is so clear in all that he is doing but one of the elements that really stood out to us all was how Bryan and Left Foot are working so hard to create and support a broader community within Michigan w**e.

The crush pad is a lovely example of that as it is a shared space for multiple w**eries allowing them to share equipment, space and resources to make w**es that express this unique and exciting terroir.

We have been huge fans of Left Foot Charley for years and it was so amazing to see them in action and to really understand the heart and energy that is being poured into Michigan w**e and the community that is driving it together.

We highly recommend a visit to their tasting room on the grounds of the former Traverse City State Hospital to try through their broad selection of w**es that come from many small family owned vineyards up north! And if you can't wait for a trip fear not we have a few of our favorites on the shelf.

Shop in store on Tuesday October 13th to give back to our Charity of the Month: Community Food Club as 5% of our sales will be donated directly to support all the amazing things they are doing.

“The Community Food Club is a non-profit, member-based grocery store innovating pathways to dignified food security throughout Kent County. Low-income members pay between $12 and $18 for a 30-day membership and are able to shop using points based on their household size. Most members receive 9 to 11 days’ worth of food during each membership period. Members can shop as often as they’d like and select food that fits their needs."

While up north we discovered two amazing restaurants and sadly this group of foodies didn’t get nearly enough pictures to truly capture the deliciousness that we found at s2s sugar 2 salt and UMBO!

Sugar2salt was one of the warmest dining experiences and their brunch menu was outlandishly unique… chicken pot pie for breakfast ❤️❤️! The staff was amazing and everything tasted incredible!!

Umbo was equally fabulous and welcoming! Their selection and presentation of tinned fish was amazing and their prepared dishes were super fun and delightful…Sugar Toads anyone?!?!?

Both spots are worth the trip to Traverse alone and we can’t wait for a return visit!

Our second w**e stop on our staff trip was 2 Lads W**ery where we were greeted with stunning views, happy vines, just picked Pinot, bubbles and an amazingly passionate tour by one of the lads himself, Chris.
It was amazing to get a firsthand look at the unique terroir that Old Mission Peninsula has to offer, and to see how 2lads is expressing that terroir in each bottle!
We had a truly amazing time and can’t thank Chris and 2lads enough for hosting us. We highly recommend stopping by on your next trip to Traverse and of course we have a couple of our favorite 2lads bottles in shop if you can’t wait!
