In late spring and early summer, I have strawberry recipes on repeat. This week’s boxes are feeling extra colorful and abundant 🌱🍓🍅

Basic box:
• Carrots
• Green leaf lettuce
• Spinach
• Tomatoes
• Blackberries
• Strawberries

Regular additions:
• Eggplant
• Dill
• Kale
• Red cabbage

Large additions:
• Mountain Magic tomatoes
• Pickling cucumbers
• Green Little Gem lettuce
• Leeks
• Spring onion

One of our members described the tomatoes this week as “transcendentally flavorful,” and honestly… I’m convinced they are just that 🍅

We’re really hoping this kicks off a rad tomato season. I know it will. Summer is starting to show itself on the farm ☀️

Our seasonal fruit box is becoming more and more popular too, and this week’s fruit share included:

A little peek into how we put together this week’s fruit expansion 🍊🫐

These organic Ojai Pixies and blackberries are so simple, fresh, and good — the kind of fruit that reminds me why eating seasonally matters so much. Sweet citrus, juicy berries, sticky fingers, kids sneaking fruit while we pack boxes… all the good stuff.

I really love that these farm boxes feel a bit like bringing the farmers market home each week. Delivered to a convenient location of your choice, everything is packed by hand with care for our members, and it means a lot to be able to share beautiful local fruit directly with this community.

We’re heading into the last week of May, and the farm is truly shifting into that early summer abundance. The fields are warming up, the zucchini keeps giving, strawberries are finally catching up after a slower spring, and the fruit around the farm is beginning to feel endless in the best way.
This time of year always reminds me why eating seasonally matters so much — things arrive when they’re ready, sometimes all at once, and every week looks a little different because of it. Thank you all for rolling with the rhythms of the farm with us.

Summer is right around the corner ☀️This quick & easy recipe for grilled zucchini is a winner🏆 🌿

Slice zucchini lengthwise or into thick rounds

Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder

Grill over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side

Finish with lemon juice, parmesan, or fresh herbs

Simple, smoky, and perfect alongside grilled meat, sourdough, or tossed into pasta bowls ☀️
