Madisono’a would like to congratulate Matt Madison as the recipient of Cincinnatus Association John E. Pepper education community service award for 2023. The award is given annually to an outstanding volunteer involving public education.
For 10 years Matt has volunteered at Kilgour Elementary School with the 6th grade classes over a 10 week period to develop a new gelato flavor. The Gelato Project explores every aspect of bringing a new idea to market. The Project concludes with the sale of the packaged flavor at their Carnival event, raising money for their PTA.

Who want to support the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Many of the fundraising events have been cancelled but Zoo to Go allows patrons to pull through and
Pick up their foods safely. We are offering single serve Red Raspberry sorbet cups.

Some press on the Kilgour School “Chocorona” flavor Gelato project.
“ Students at Kilgour school in Cincinnati look forward to one project their sixth grade year. It’s called the gelato project. But their teacher and a local business owner wanted to make sure that was the one thing that wasn’t canceled during this pandemic.

What sixth grade student wouldn’t want to help come up with a new flavor of gelato for a school project?

“The kids always look forward to it," Stephanie Bisher the sixth grade teacher at Kilgour said. "It’s the first thing they ask when they come in to sixth grade is when are we going to start the project.”

For 7 years Madisono’s has partnered with the 6th grade class Kilgour Elementary School to create a gelato flavor. Part of STEM education and experiential learning applications. Despite closings and remote learning challenges we carried on and they created Chocorona gelato. Dark chocolate with cookie dough and chocolate pieces. Parents are picking up pre ordered pints as a part of PTA fundraising.
Well done students. The show must go on!
