The farm stand is open today at 1:00 PM with the following fresh produce:
Potatoes (Red or Yukon Gold): Small, Medium, or Large for $10 per 5lb bag.
Cabbage: Flash sale for $2 per large head.
Celery: $2 each.

Friday, May, 8, 2026 update

We have broccoli, purple cauliflower, turnips, collards, red and green kale, and bok choy at the farm stand today. I have more of everything in the walk-in cooler. Call or text if you need anything.

The garden is growing steadily. Tomatoes are setting fruit. Some of the peppers are starting to set fruit. The corn is growing. I’ve got about half of the watermelon started in the greenhouse. Sugar Snap peas are blooming. Everything is looking really good right now.

Until more warm season crops start producing, I am only stocking the farm stand on the weekends. Come on by if you’re in the neighborhood.

The farm stand has some nice broccoli! Also, collards.

If you’ve driven by the farm stand lately you may have noticed what was previously pasture has been worked up and converted to garden. The goal this year is to grow much more sweet corn, watermelons, and cantaloupe.

There is a section I’m going to try doing some U-pick crops. So far I have planted green beans. Do you all have any ideas for other crops you’d like to see offered as U-pick?

The farm stand is open!

We have some beautiful tomato, eggplant, peppers and others.

Farm fresh eggs, lettuce, collards, kale, and bok choy.

I’ll be working around the farm today so give me a call, message or just wave me over if you need help.

Edit: I added more plants. Charger, an Anaheim type pepper, yellow squash, zucchini, and aloe Vera.

I have superhot pepper plants available by request. $6 each. See the pictures below. They are beautiful plants.

It seems like just yesterday we were shoveling snow and dressing in layers. Now I’m scrambling to get all of the warm season crops planted out in the garden.

All of the tomatoes and eggplant have been planted. Started on getting the peppers planted. When those are finished, I will work on corn, watermelon, green beans, and squash. I took out some of the pasture and turned it into garden space this year. I hope to have several plantings of corn and watermelons. Also hoping to be able to provide some U-pick opportunities later on.

I wanna give a big shout out to some really awesome friends and family.

We were out of town during spring break and Karen Poggemoeller Kieslich watched over the place and kept Otis company.

I still don’t know who all helped but I know who was in charge of the greenhouse, garden, cows, and chickens. Thank you Sabra Billups and Melody Baronti and all your helpers. You all can take over anytime you want.

I do most of the daily grind around the farm myself but some jobs are so much easier with help.

Amy Burkett helped me build the garden beds with drip tape and plastic mulch. I drove the tractor and she did all the heavy lifting. Thanks Amy!

Chuck Phillips helped build a fence to keep the steers out of the new garden area. He also helped get all of the cattle panels put up for the tomatoes. That job is no fun by yourself. Thanks Chuck!

I still have some tomato, eggplant, and a few pepper plants available today. Any tomatoes left after today will be potted up to larger containers. They are just too tall now and need some support.

Quick Friday morning update.

Just finished planting the first row of tomatoes in the garden this morning. I already had the support system in place as they are over a foot tall even after transplanting. I’m using cattle panels this year instead of Florida weave. I think Florida weave is good for determinate plants but I struggled to keep up with them last year.

If you would like some of these beautiful plants for your garden, I have planty (that was accidental but I like it). I don’t have time to get the farm stand opened up so this weekend you can call or message to come pick them up at the greenhouse. Price is $4 each. Any leftovers after I get all of mine planted will be potted up to 1 gallon pots. The price will need to go up to cover the pots and potting mix costs.
I also have peppers and eggplants as well.

The farm stand is now closed for the season.

A huge thank you to everyone for an awesome first season! We really appreciate all of the support. It was a lot of work but worth every bit of it because we got to meet some new friends and neighbors.
I hope everyone enjoyed the watermelon as much as I did. Several of the ones I ate were by far the best I’ve ever had!
