Moonstone Farm

Moonstone Farm Moonstone Farm is a family owned and operated business in the Matanuska Valley. Come check us out!

Our farm has been in the family since 1935 when my husband's grandparents arrived in the Matanuska Valley with the Colonists. The history of farming is rich in this fertile valley and the importance of preserving farmland to provide food for future generations is important to us. 5 generations of the Church Family have called this land home. We work hard to grow the highest quality food with the lowest impact on the environment as possible.

It’s a gorgeous opening day for The Railcar Tasting Room at Moonstone Farm! is open 2-8 today, Thursday, May 28 and we’ve got a great selection for you. Our favorites are back on tap: Midnight Sun Snowshoe White, Black Spruce Aroma Dome IPA and Guava Sour, Alaska Ciderworks Mango Cider, 203 Kombucha Rooibos Rhubarb Kombucha, and Bearpaw River Brewing Root Beer.

By the can, we’ve got our favorite cocktails by Port Chilkoot Distillery out of Haines: Bee’s Knees, Moscow Mule, and Cucumber Cooler. We’ve also got canned pineapple cider from Black Spruce. New this year is canned luxury bubbly from Veneto, Italy - have it on its own or in a mimosa. We’ve also got a limoncello spritz from Italy that can be served straight up or as a limoncellosa.

Our Bear Creek Alaska Fruit wines are back with favorites Alaska Chardonnay and Blueberry returning, and some new flavors available: Pomegranate, Gooseberry, and Wild Berry.
