Welcome to Bell View Farm! Bell View Farm is located in northwest Howard County, near the town of Galveston, IN. This property has been in our family since the early 1930s, allowing us to be one step closer to how things used to be; all-natural! This aged land has been providing our family and friends fresh, organically raised produce for several years, and now, we wish to share it with you! We ha
ve chosen to stay close to the natural way of things, and raise produce as close to what you would find in the wild. We pull our weeds by hand, or use decades old farm equipment to lend us a hand when needed, the same way grandpa used to do it. This may seem to make our job harder, but we rely heavily on rotating our vegetables year after year, to help spread out or weed pressure, and prevent the need to use herbicides. We see the benefits of raising our produce the natural way. Every year, we devote a section of our land to raising flowers. These flowers help our vegetables immensely by bringing in beneficial insects, which eat harmful bugs, and help pollinate our crops. The bees we keep on the farm are active in our patch daily, moving from plant to plant. To help us achieve the organically raised goals that we set, we let nature do all the work. Crop rotation, beneficial insects, companion crops, and some elbow grease have led us to where we are now. We could not be happier with our little farm, and hope that we can put your mind at easy as to where your food comes from, and how it was raised.
