I really love growing peppers. All kinds, hot, sweet, sometimes we plant some just for the colors. Grandpa planted many types too, and when you visited you left with bags of them (it wasn’t an option). Didn’t matter what kind of peppers it was, he would always say “these aren’t very hot so take them too”. Truth was when you got home it may be a game of “pepper roulette”, there was always a chance you may taste the sun that day. Within a week he would ask if you needed more. Gardening isn’t always about growing food, it’s also about growing memories.

One of our favorite things to do is take a little time to watch the bees do their work. Once again this year we were late on planting due to keeping up with production, (not complaining, we are very thankful for all of your support) but we still planted our pumpkins to harvest seeds for next year. After the first frost everything left in the patch gets loaded up and goes into the youngest rows of compost for processing.

It gets a bit old carrying around two remotes for the trailer. It doesn’t help that is seems like all of them I have tried for the winch and hydraulics just don’t last. The time has come for us to do things our way….. build a little something custom……
