Thank you to everyone that visited Lavender Bleu at the Frisco Mercantile. My last day in the suite will be Monday, May 28th. I will be reopening soon in historic downtown McKinney under a new name. I have a wonderful new partner named Lori and we are in the process of getting the studio ready to open. Until then, please follow our journey at the FB page titled Vintage Charm Restoration.

This week has been so eventful. Full of God's blessings. I can't wait to share, but need a bit more time to get things all tied up. Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful day! I know that I am spending a bit of time this week thinking of how important my mother is in my life! So much of who I am today is because of her. Love you Kathy!

Sometimes you want to step outside of your routine and try to "re-interpret a classic". Everyone knows I love French Provincial furniture, but I also have a little known love for American Mid-Century pieces. Their lines are cleaner and they are far more understated than that of their French cousins. However, when you pair them with some bright fun fabric (and keep the paint colors romantic), they can turn the head of even the most solid Francophile. I have two of these vintage 1960's cuties just waiting to be brought home for $45 each.

These two chairs were out of a friend's home. They were just two little lovelies hoping for a makeover. A bit of ASCP Duck Egg Blue and a touch of Old White, and before you know it, they were out on my lawn having a tea party! For sale at $45 each. They also coordinate nicely with the French Provincial Dining Table with 4 chairs that were put in the suite last night.
