What a beautiful day!!
We are open Memorial Day 10am to 4pm.
It looks like we may have a bit of dry weather for a few days. The farmers will be getting in those fields trying to get their work finished, please be aware and careful as there will be more tractors on our roads moving around.
One of the questions we are asked often is if it is too late to plant a garden...our answer is it is definitely not too late, we plant a lot in the month of June. Most of my garden gets planted in June every year. With the recent years of up and down temps, planting once the ground is warmer often times leads to a stronger plant that is not stunted by cold temperatures. At the farm market, we plant crops in 2 week intervals, meaning we would plant and replant certain crops every two weeks to get a harvest throughout the summer. Sweetcorn, redbeets, muskmelons, greenbeans, etc, are all planted and replanted multiple times. We planted sweetcorn 5 or 6 times to have it the entire season. When you start planting later, you may miss that first harvest, but you will still harvest plenty. We wanted pumpkins planted by mid June, but were fine if they got planted by July 1. My flower garden is similar, I plant annuals well into July. It is when I have time, and my gardens end up beautiful until frost. We can not control this weather, but we do not let it stop us from planting on our own time.

We have awesome sweetcorn, red and yellow seedless watermelons, South Carolina peaches that are delicious, potatoes, greenbeans, onions, blueberries, cherries, lettuce, sweet and hot peppers, tasty Tennessee tomatoes, fresh picked asparagus and rhubarb, mushrooms, muskmelons, and so much more.

The greenhouses are bursting with flowers and vegetable plants. Sweet potato starts. Wave petunias by the flat. Seed geraniums. Hanging baskets and combination planters. The area's best selection of annuals and perennials. Succulents and cactus and more.

What a beautiful day!! For ducks 🦆.......
It's a holiday weekend, it's not snowing, the plants are blooming, the customers are still coming, and for these things I am thankful.
It is a weekend for eating, maybe you have family get togethers, it's the start of camping season, or are just plain hungry, stop on out. We have the most delicious Georgia sweetcorn here at the market. Crispy and sweet yellow or red watermelons, and juicy muskmelons, southern grown. South Carolina peaches. Florida greenbeans. California cherries. Ohio grown lettuce and the best gourmet mushrooms. Local grown asparagus and rhubarb. All the fixings for guacamole and salsa. New potatoes, garlic, green onions, sweet onions, all kinds of peppers, and so much more. I am getting hungry just writing about it.
Fry pies, so many flavors. Sechler's pickles. Jams and apple butter, the list goes on.
We have 7 greenhouses packed with beautiful plants. So many annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetable plants, succulents, fairy garden plants, fruit bushes, hydrangeas, lilacs, clematis, peonies, and more. We have packed our few acres out in the lovely countryside with a great selection to fill your gardens with.
We are open 10am to 4pm Saturdays and Sundays. We are open 10am to 6pm weekdays. We will be open 10am to 4pm Memorial Day.

Greenhouse #5. This year it is my favorite greenhouse. It use to house our vegetable plants, but we changed it into a house full of annuals, many that will bring hummingbirds and butterflies to your gardens.
I am a bit obsessed with cuphea. It's an old plant that is new again. Varieties we carry include Batface, Dynamite, Funnyface, Vermillionaire, and more. The hummingbirds love them, and they add so much interest to the garden.
We planted so many salvias. I have hummingbirds at home everyday visiting the salvia all around my yard. I love all the colors available this year from deep purple to fuschia to red. A striking addition to any planter.
House #5 is full of annual daisies, agastache, lophos, a double snapdragon, our annual grasses, strawflowers, cannas, angel wings, and so much more. Come on out and see for yourself, all these plants and so many more.
We are open Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 4pm. We are open Monday thru Friday 10am to 6pm. We will be open Memorial Day 10am to 4pm.

We love her chunky cheeks and the way she has a look like she is always judging everyone, reminds me of her father Roy, whose picture is behind our register.

Started the day unloading 2 trucks stuffed full of hanging baskets, gorgeous begonias, geraniums and more. Had another truck full of fern baskets and 400 flats show up at noon. Just trying to keep up!! Thanks to all of you for all of your support!!

Tennessee tomatoes are here!! Look at that red color, pick one up and smell them, they smell like a tomato should, and taste just as good!! We also have green and yellow tomatoes.
We have all the fixings for fresh salsa, too. Sweet onions, jalapeños, cilantro, garlic, and more!!
We have farm fresh eggs, multi-color and multi size, just $2.50 dozen.
Restocking the greenhouses constantly. We are unloading over 500 geraniums today, along with just as many sunpatiens, euphorbia, and more supertunias. Getting 400 more flats again tomorrow afternoon. Baskets, planters, and so much more.

WE DO 😊
You have been patiently waiting and it finally arrived. Stop on out for some fresh delicious eats for your dinner table. Tennessee tomatoes expected to arrive later on Wednesday.🍅
We survived Mother's day weekend, now on to the next one. We brought in another 400 flats this morning, including wave petunias and seed geraniums by the flat. Flat of 18 wave petunias just $21.99. Flat of 32 seed geraniums just $21.99. Many colors to pick from.
Annual and vegetable plants are $17.99 per flat of 12 packs, mix and match, includes strawberry plants. We restocked the veggie plants today, more coming tomorrow.
We have a huge selection of bulk vegetable seeds. Still have onion plants and onion bulbs. Potato starts. And we have our sweet potato/yam starts in, good old Georgia Jet, Beauregard, and Oh Henry, just 2 for $1.
Our perennials are just starting to peak through the soil. With the heat expected soon, they will really take off growing . From lupines to poppys to agastache to bleeding hearts, we have so many kinds and varieties to chose from, its hard to keep track of them all some days.

It's another gorgeous day at Brubakers, Happiest of Mother's day to all of you out there!! We have houses FULL of planters, hanging baskets, and so many flowers, our selection is amazing.
It's going to be a busy day for us....it's always a busy day here. We spend every spare moment planting or cleaning plants when we are nit restocking. We are planting our 3rd planting of vegetables now, in order to keep those plants coming throughout the month and into June. With this rain and wet weather, we will be planting veggies later into the year.
The perennials are behind this year, just peaking out of dormancy. We have planted so many varieties this year, we always look forward to their new colors showing up as the season moves along.
The succulents are out, lots of new and interesting kinds.
The produce has started. We have fresh picked RHUBARB, first of the year. Delicious muskmelons, blueberries, peppers, hot peppers, new potatoes, sweet onions, seedless watermelons, cannonball watermelons, the start of southern peaches, and so much more as the fresh produce becomes available.
We are open 10am to 6pm Monday thru Friday, Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 4pm.

I am not sure pictures will do the greenhouses justice. We are packed with gorgeous planters and hanging baskets. We just unloaded another 400 flats. 100 more fern baskets. On top of that, I have 2 trucks full of beauties just waiting to be unloaded in the morning. So many types and sizes of planters and baskets.
Can not decide what to buy?? We have gift certificates available.
We restocked the new vegetable plant house with more veggies. Asparagus roots, rhubarb plants, strawberry plants, berry bushes and so much more. Lots of herbs. Bulk garden seeds, onion and potato starts. The sweet tater starts have arrived.
Needing some tasty vegetables and fruits to eat? We have delicious southern grown muskmelons and watermelon. The Cannonball watermelons are here. Blueberries and the start of the peaches from down south. Peppers, onions, taters, and so much more. The Sechler's pickles have arrived, we have the best prices around.

The herd has returned to the market. We have planted and unplanted animals, your choice.

We have unloaded so many baskets and planters over the past few days, we can hardly keep up. Stop on out early to beat the weekend crowds.
We will continue to unload trucks daily.
