There’s a lot of heart behind the counter at Olde Towne Butcher . ❤️

This family-owned downtown shop supports local farmers and puts care into where our food comes from. But their care for our community reaches beyond what they bring to our tables.

Owner Keith Lebor is a longtime supporter of Loisann's Hope House, and Olde Towne Butcher is donating the beef for Battle of the Burgers—bringing six local restaurants together to help families facing homelessness.

This afternoon of food and friendly competition helps parents working to rebuild and children who deserve somewhere safe to sleep. Somewhere to come home to. Somewhere to simply be kids.

That’s what makes this event so special to me. Our local businesses and neighbors showing up for one another—and turning a fun afternoon into support for families right here in our community.

The competition is stacking up… 🍔🔥

Cait and I stopped by Rebellion Bourbon Bar & Kitchen to check out the sixth and final restaurant competing in Battle of the Burgers!

We don’t know which burger Rebellion is bringing to the competition yet—but we’re looking forward to finding out!

We tried The Ramsay Bolton: two beef patties with bourbon bacon jam, aged cheddar, bread-and-butter pickles, smoked mayo, iceberg lettuce, tomato and onion on a sesame bun. All we’re gonna say is the other competitors better bring their A-game! 🍔🔥

Their bourbon-inspired menu has Southern roots and locally sourced ingredients, paired with a collection of over 170 varieties of bourbon, wh***ey and spirits.

One of my favorite parts of these visits has been seeing our local restaurants come together for Loisann’s Hope House. They’re competing for your vote while helping support local families facing homelessness. ❤️

Come join us for Battle of the Burgers, sponsored by Olde Towne Butcher, Potomac Point Winery, 1781 Brewing Company, and Ragland & Ragland, PLC.

It’s not just the restaurants around town using Olde Towne Butcher beef for the battle of the burgers. 🍔

I use it myself: sliders, patty melts, and of course a classic burger. Every day I see folks coming into the shop to grab ground beef for their own grill nights.

Fredericksburg has really made a shift toward eating local and caring more about where our food comes from. Seeing more people choose locally sourced, sustainably raised beef is something we’re pretty proud of.

Good to see our community putting its money where its mouth is!

Battle of the Burgers starts with the same thing for everyone: our ground beef. 🍔

Every participating restaurant uses Olde Towne Butcher ground beef, slider rolls, charcoal, and grills. From there, each chef gets to make it their own with their recipe, toppings, and style.

And that’s what makes this event so special. It brings our local restaurants together, supports Loisann’s Hope House, and keeps money and attention right here in our community.

Events like this matter. They support a local nonprofit, promote the businesses that keep our town going, and give people a chance to enjoy food made with meat sourced from local farmers with ethical and sustainable practices in mind.

Good burgers. Good cause. Good for Fredericksburg.

Come out October 18th from 12–3 PM and see who takes home the win! 🍔

It started with a glass of w**e and a little “dream talk.” 🍷❤️

Skip shared how he and his wife, Cindi, would spend evenings imagining what Potomac Point could become. Their daughter loved hearing them dream out loud—and eventually gave them the push to make it happen.

Cait and I saw what that dream had become. Even on a rainy day, people were gathering for tastings, lunch and grape stomping. The place was full of life.

What started as Skip and Cindi’s dream has become a place where so many people make memories. Through their support of Loisann's Hope House, they’re also helping local families work toward a safe, stable place to make memories of their own. ❤️

Potomac Point Winery is sponsoring the w**e for Battle of the Burgers and will be there pairing their w**es with the burgers! 🍔🍷

Come hungry, vote for your favorite, and help local families move out of homelessness and into safe, stable homes.

A burger between two slices of brioche French toast? You have our attention. 🤤🍔

We stopped by Mason✯Dixon Cafe for their Big Breakfast Burger—a half-pound burger topped with American cheese, an over-easy egg and BBQ bacon, served with home fries. Sweet, savory, and every bit as delicious as it looks. And yes, they serve breakfast ALL DAY, plus lunch and dinner—so there’s plenty to choose from, whatever you’re craving! 🙌🏼

Locally owned by Fredericksburg native Kelly Hunt, Mason-Dixon has been serving comfort food with a twist since 2012. Almost everything is made from scratch and cooked to order—and their love for this community goes beyond the kitchen. ❤️

They’re joining Olde Towne Butcher's Battle of the Burgers to support Loisann’s Hope House and its work helping local families move from homelessness into stable housing. These are our neighbors. Parents trying to rebuild. Children who deserve to feel safe. Families who deserve a place to call home.

We don’t know what burger Mason-Dixon will bring to the competition—that’s still a surprise! Come taste their creation, try the other competing restaurants’ sliders, and vote for your favorite while supporting a cause close to home.

These days, knowing where your food actually comes from is a pretty big win.

We keep it close to home, working with nearby farms and sustainable sources whenever we can.

Know where your meat comes from. It’s worth it.

They’re called Bad Ass Pickles for a reason. 🥒

Crunchy, packed with flavor, and yeah... pretty bad ass.

We’ve got Bad Ass Pickles stocked at Olde Towne Butcher. Grab a jar and see if they live up to the name. We think they do.
