When planting a new tree, consistent watering and maintenance are essential to its health. Since there is no one-size-fits-all guide, we recommend assessing your soil using what we call "the cake test." To perform the test, simply insert a wooden assessment stick near the base of the tree, about 12-18 inches deep. If you don't observe any standing water, it's time to water!

Watering Guide:
Set your hose between a trickle and the halfway point near the trunk for a deep soak:

-3-10 Gallon Tree: 8-12 minutes

-15-30 Gallon Tree: 20-30 minutes

-45+ Gallon Tree: 60-90 minutes
