FIRST OPENING OF THE 2026 SUMMER SEASON, TOMORROW, SATURDAY, JUNE 6!

Well our beautiful tomatoes totally surprised us and after our first picking this afternoon, we have enough to sell tomorrow! We have red beefsteak tomatoes, yellow beefsteak tomatoes, a few early Cherokee purples, and some nice tasty pink gals. We don’t have any sun sugars or other cherry tomatoes, they’re still several weeks away from ripening. But with these hot days and cool nights, we have a great early Tomato season!

We will be open today from 10am-5pm at our usual location on US 42 between Florence and Union across from Sonic. Look for our big sign and tents on the side of the road. There is a map on our page or find us on Google Maps for our exact location. We are on the side of the road on a gravel road between 8702 and 8726 US 42. Please do not pull into either of those residential driveways. Please approach slowly and pull in very carefully. There is ample parking in the rear of the stand. We accept both cards and cash.

As all you tomato lovers know, we only sell what we grow right here on our own farm. Kentucky dirt, Kentucky water, Kentucky sunshine and Kentucky pollinators! So come and see us, you won't be disappointed!

Babs is a 1.5-year-old Boxer mix hoping to find her furever home today!

Several weeks ago, Babs was first spotted wandering through a neighborhood in Burlington. For about a week, she stayed in the area, carefully avoiding cars and keeping her distance from anyone who tried to help. Thankfully, our Animal Control officers were able to safely trap her and bring her to the shelter.

Since arriving, Babs has completely stolen our hearts. The scared, elusive dog we first met has turned out to be one of the sweetest dogs ever! She loves attention, enjoys spending time with people, and is always ready to share her goofy Boxer charm.

Babs has come such a long way, and now all she needs is a family to call her own. Could that be you?

Come meet Babs and all of our adoptable animals today from 12–6!

Hello everyone, we will be open tomorrow Saturday, May 30 selling the last of our tomato plants! We’ll be at our usual location from 10 AM until about 3 PM on US 42 between Florence and Union. Take a look on our page for a map or find us on Google maps.

We have a lot of great beefsteak tomato plants, a delicious yellow heirloom tomato and an heirloom pink tomato, plus Cherokee purple tomatoes, a small plum tomato, which is great for salads and cooking, and a Roma/paste tomato plant that is delicious for sauce and also great eating for people who don’t like a lot of seeds in their tomatoes. We sell all of these tomatoes at the stand during the summer.

Plus we have some gorgeous large basil plants for $3 each.

We’re hoping to open to start selling our own homegrown tomatoes in about 2 weeks!! Yay, can’t wait to see everyone!

UPDATE:ADOPTED

Sweet Roxy was originally adopted from us back in the summer of 2016, and now nearly 10 years later, she has found her way back to BCAS through no fault of her own. A neighboring shelter contacted us after scanning her microchip and discovering she originally came from us, so they brought her back where familiar faces could welcome her in.

After Roxy arrived, we learned that her owner had sadly passed away, leaving this sweet senior girl searching for a new beginning. Despite all the changes in her life, Roxy has remained upbeat, loving, and full of heart while she tries to adjust to shelter life once again.

Roxy will turn 12 next month, and while she’s handling things the best she can, we would love nothing more than for her to spend her golden years in a warm, loving home instead of a shelter kennel. Senior dogs still have so much love to give, and Roxy is hoping someone will open their heart to her soon.
