Big June updates from Oak Meadows Farm and the Acorn Market!

Online ordering is back!

After more than a year of trial and error, our new online store is live. You can once again pre-order everything in the market, including meat, and check our current inventory before making the trip to the farm.

For products sold by weight, the amount shown at checkout is an estimate. We enter the exact package weights when preparing your order, and your card is charged once for the final total. We never see or have access to your credit card information.

Some average weights are still being updated, so larger cuts such as roasts may initially show a lower estimated total.

Fall pork shares are now available

Sky Valley Family Farms is custom-raising pasture-raised pigs for us on a non-GMO, corn- and soy-free diet.

Shares are $8.50 per pound hanging weight, with butcher fees included. Whole and half shares are available as either custom cut or Farmer’s Choice, and all finished pork will be picked up here at the farm in November or December.

Refrigerated trailer rentals

Our 7-by-12-foot refrigerated trailer is available to rent as either cooler or freezer storage.

U-pick is coming

We are planting dahlias, sunflowers, pumpkins, gourds, sweet corn, lavender, popcorn, grains, amaranth, and a sorghum-sudangrass maze.

This is our first season, so opening dates and availability will depend on how everything grows. We will share updates throughout the summer.

Fresh local no spray strawberries and garlic scapes in the store today!

The store is open today from 2-6. I will be running it as Malia is not available today so if I am not in the store when you come, just wave me down from planting in the field.

We have fresh bread in as well as a few new items.

We have cinnamon rolls available from Main Street Bread. They are only $15 for a pack of 4 huge rolls.

We also have some new types of jam. We have blackberry habanero and cinnamon spiced triple berry.

I am also trimming the lavender plants I just picked up for our lavender patch and will have a few bunches of lavender available.

Our eggs are hand-collected every day.

These roll-out nesting boxes gently move the eggs onto a hand-crank conveyor system, making collection quick and efficient while helping keep the eggs clean.

It's one of the many ways we care for our hens and bring fresh pasture-raised eggs to your table.

Good morning!
The store is open and we are busy restocking.

We are super excited to have all our chicken back in stock and have some new cuts of chicken available we have not offered before. We have whole chickens, boneless breasts, boneless/skinless thighs, bone-in/skin on thighs, wings, backs, liver, feet, ground chicken, and chicken bone broth. This chicken is from one of our partner farms that raises slower growing breeds on pasture with daily moves and feeds organic/corn and soy free feed. It is the best chicken we have found available in Washington and we are super happy to be selling it.

Fresh bread is in with us having 5 varieties today. We have cheddar, garlic, oatmeal, rosemary, and white.

We are also giving away free quarts of milk with any purchase today as they are getting close to their best by date and we do not want to see them go to waste.

Last but not least, I found a little friend hanging out in the egg washing facility the other day. He is just chilling in there acting as all nature bug control.

The Acorn Market is closed today but will be back to normal hours Saturday.

The store is open and we have fresh bread and lots of new items this week.

For bread we have plain sourdough and whole grain bread.

For new items we have chicken bone broth, coffee, bbq sauce, three types of pies, restocked ice cream sandwiches and added three types of ice cream, and got in tortillas. All are made locally except the bone broth broth which is from southern Washington.

We are open until 6 today. Hope to see you soon.

Bread is here! We have 4 types today. Regular sourdough, cheddar cheese, garlic, and porridge. $10 each.

Porridge is a sourdough loaf enriched with oat porridge, brown butter, and brown sugar, creating a soft, tender crumb. It has a mild tang with notes of caramel and a subtle, nutty sweetness.

We are super excited to have a bread supplier now and they have many other items we will look into selling in the future too.
