Gardening is for believers and gamblers. I believe in “normal” temperatures, and adequate rain. But this is not happening this year. We have gone through April with extreme heat, cold nights and no rain. It broke my heart to have to replace some tomatoes and ALL the bell pepper plants yesterday.

My planting season has commenced. The first picture showcases the majority of my 36 cabbage plants, while the second picture features 14 pounds of red and white potatoes accompanied by 800 red, yellow, and white onions. Although the produce may appear unimpressive at this stage, with the potatoes still underground and the onions in the sprouting phase, the yield from these relatively small plots is substantial.

It was a warm balmy 24 degrees 🥶 here this morning but the flowers don’t seem to mind🥶
