The Apple Farm The Apple Farm is open from mid August to November. We have apple picking September and October. Call for varieties. Pumpkin patch is also seasonal.

The farm belonged to the Coffin Family when Maine was part of Massachusetts. It was then sold to the Wentworth Family who planted the first orchards. The current owners, Steven and Marilyn Meyerhans, purchased the farm in 1973 from Royal and Irene Wentworth. The soils and climate of our central Maine location are unsurpassed for producing crisp, hard and brightly colored McIntosh. While we can offer the very best of many delicious, newly developed apple varieties, we specialize in the wonderful old-time varieties that are indigenous to our area: Macs, Northern Spy, Golden Russet, Pearmain, Winter Banana, and others. Our fresh pressed apple cider is made from a blend of those old-time varieties and is famous for miles around for its rich, smooth, golden goodness. We welcome you to visit our farm and its pituresque barn store, where in addition to all our apple products, you will find home-made jams and jellies of every description, pure natural local honey, maple syrup, scrumptious, home-made pies and breads, local vegetables and loads of country charm. We also invite you to stroll through the orchards, perhaps pick a peck or two of your own apples in season, or watch cider being pressed. Bring a picnic. It's a great family outing. The Apple Farm is open from August to December and is located on the Back Rd. (1 mile off Route 104 between Waterville and Skowhegan).

We are looking immediately for additional donut makers to join our staff at The Apple Farm. We are happy to train the right person. Please message us with any questions.

The Donut Maker is responsible for the preparation and cooking of apple c***r donuts. This entails following the recipe which includes: weighing donut mix, measuring and heating liquids, and properly mixing the batter.

Additional responsibilities include: setting up and maintaining donut machine equipment, filling and refilling hoppers with batter, ensuring the fryer has the proper amount of cooking oil, checking fryer temperatures, and sugaring and traying donuts.

Requirements:
• Be at least 18 years old
• Be neat, organized, and have attention to detail
• Be able to follow recipes and have basic math skills
• Be comfortable with repetition and fast-paced volume production using commercial
equipment
• Be able to stand for long periods of time
• Be able to lift 50 lbs
• Have a positive and service oriented attitude
• Must exhibit proper sanitation practices
• Maintain quality standards of our apple c***r donut products
• Hours are 7 AM to 1 PM. Must be available Saturday (not negotiable) and 3 weekdays for the remainder of the season.

Pick your own pumpkins, right near the sunflowers.Flat rate $10.00, pick 1 large or 2 small pumpkins. No need to bring them in the barn, just tell us you picked your own pumpkin.

As usual, we will do our best to have donuts available, but please know we have lots of other baked goods to offer. It really does feel like fall today.

McIntosh, Cortland, and Honey Crisp apples are ready for pick your own. In the store we have Canadian Strawberries for you to sample as well as McIntosh, Cortland, Milton, Red Free, and Ginger Golds.

Horse and tractor rides will be available roughly 10-2. Fresh Donuts will be available until we run out. We look forward to seeing you this weekend.

Put on your rain boots and join us for Maine Apple Sunday. We have McIntosh, Cortlands and Honey Crisp for pick your own. Donuts and other baked goods will be available in the barn.
