Did you know you can make your own salsa in a blender or food processor and it will be amazing?? Add whatever you wish to it. Here’s how I do it:
➕Cut the tomatoes (usually 4-5 tomatoes) in quarters, remove the seeds and gel (what the heck is that event called?) out of the tomatoes, pat the tomatoes dry.
➕Chop an onion. (Whole small guy)
➕Add garlic to taste.
➕Juice of one lime (I tend to zest some extra lime in because I like it zesty! )
➕1-3 jalapeños (your call, I do 1 & remove the spine and seeds before tossing them in).
➕A fist full of cilantro. (The professionals would say about a cup.)
➕Some seasonings (pepper, salt cumin, coriander, oregano—depends on the mood)
➕And some olive oil!
Toss it in the blender or food processor, taste test with a chip. Experiment. There’s no wrong way to do it. Let it chill in the fridge for a couple of hours for the best results.
Just ⚠️REMEMBER⚠️—You can always add more of something, but you’ll have a hard time taking it out!
