Seaway Coldhardy Berries would like to thank Melissa and Rusty Rosenberger of Wellesley Island for sharing some great images of them planting some of our farms honeyberries in a functional landscape design at their home. It looks phenomenal great job!

My husband built these boxes to replace plastic fence we had along the border of our property. We wanted to create a natural fence between our yard and our neighbors cottage. And we needed a Cold Hardy shrub to fill our planters. We are looking forward to growing honeyberries that Duane from Seaway Coldhardy Berries helped us choose today.

🌿🫐HUNGRY FOR HONEYBERRIES AT Seaway Coldhardy Berries 🌿🫐🌿🫐🌿🫐🌿🫐🌿🫐🌿🫐🌿🫐🌿🫐🌿

Today's major operation on this Northern New York berry farm was to continue covering the fruit laden honeyberries with bird netting......with this amount of netting it is an all day affair as necessary adjustments to the netting, repairs to tears, and using pins to secure netting in uneven areas of the land takes time and careful observation to make sure it is effective in keeping birds out.....from my adversaries birds eye view I must appear like a giant spider to all the avian predators overhead as they were quite vocal in chastizing me.... as i worked diligently to insure that this year it is not the humans going hungry for fresh honeyberries but the birds lol!! In conclusion as I sat in the field looking at the results of my days toil and watched the sunset i smiled as I sipped on an iced tea and for a moment embraced and appreciated the present of my own existence and those loved ones no longer with me to enjoy the preciousness of this moment on this beautiful blue planet of ours.....

🍐🌿FIGS STILL ALIVE Seaway Coldhardy Berries !🍐🌿

What an exciting morning at the nursery as figs that were taken out of dormant storage in our NNY zone 4 environment just a few weeks ago are STILL ALIVE and beginning to explode with spring growth and brebas many of which are new varieties throwing fruits for the first time!! We can't wait to share some of these beauties with our Northern NY locavore crowd of friends and family in the upcoming months at Watertown Saturday Farmers Market We also think the figs respond well to daily doses of the nineties era grunge music like Pearl Jam classics lol! 😎👍😂🌿🍐
