The Elberta Community Farmers Market is a producer-only market featuring locally produced seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs, wellness products, baked goods and more. We gladly participate in the following food assistance programs: SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, and Senior Project Fresh.

It’s a BEAUTIFUL day for a market! Come on over to Elberta between 8 am and noon — we’ve got everything you could want and more! Veggies, fruit, soup, soap, baked goods, pet treats, flowers, maple syrup, skin care, tea…the list goes on and on!

Reminder: we have two more markets — 8/27 and 9/3 — that open at 8 a.m. and then AFTER Labor Day, the market is open 9 a.m. to noon. Our last market day is Oct. 1.

Also, please remember no customers in the market space before 8 a.m. If you prearranged or paid for something with a vendor to pick up, you may do so after 8 a.m.

Good morning farmers market folks! We have some important updates and announcements (please read the whole post!):

🍑 Starting this Thursday and continuing through the rest of the season, customers will not be allowed into the market space until 8 a.m. When the market opens at 8 a.m. you may then begin to queue up at vendor booths. The lines have put a significant amount of stress on the vendors AND they have also become a hazard to vendors driving in, trying to enter the market to get to their spots. We are grateful for your understanding and respect for the vendor’s allotted set up time. Until 8 a.m., we ask that you please remain in your cars or in the grassy area outside of the market space/cones.

🥦 On September 10 (through October 1), the market will open at 9 a.m. instead of 8. The market will continue to end at noon for the duration of the season. While this is not a new policy, we just wanted to share the reminder.

🍅 If you find that our market hours or the line/market opening policy is cumbersome to your schedule, we hope that this could be an opportunity for you to connect with our vendors at their farm stands/other shopping opportunities. With that said, we hope you’ll still join us on Thursday mornings for community and in-person connection because it’s a valuable human experience and we need each other more than ever nowadays.

🥕 The final market day of the season is October 1st. We will create a list of farm stands and vendor shopping options for the fall/winter months so you can continue to buy fresh local products and support small businesses year round. Thank you all so much for your incredible support this season and in the coming months ahead.

Hey folks—we’re open today, Thursday August 6, from 8-noon. We’ve got everything from corn to cantaloupe, skin care and lavender, veggies galore…and more.

And if you’re wondering, yes—the lines are a new “thing” for us this year, just like you. We are SO grateful for your support and the continued investment/belief/celebration in local producers. Please don’t ever stop! But, we ask for your patience and friendliness as you queue up—it’s a great chance to strike up a conversation with a stranger and meet someone new! And, your respect for our vendors and allowing them physical/mental space to set up is paramount—let’s continue forward with compassionate civility and understanding! 🍑

Good morning Benzie County! The Elberta Community Farmers Market is open 8 a.m. to noon today, Thursday July 30! The market is overflowing with flowers, freshly harvested fruits and veggies, maple syrup, baked goods, soup mixes and granola, hummus, cheese, skincare and wellness products, and more!

Hey folks: the market will be open today, Thursday July 16 from 8-noon. Because of the current air quality condition, we will have masks available for all of our vendors if they should choose or need to wear them, and we’ve given the (encouraged) option to stay home for their safety if preferred. That said, it looks like we will still have a very full market today.

We are grateful for our customers, and hope your market experience today will be both abundant and efficient/in-and-out as you consider your health, too. If you do not feel safe or your health is at risk, please stay home. And, if it’s on your heart, send all your healing vibes to Mother Nature—she desperately needs them, as do our neighbors (Canada, Minnesota) experiencing the wildfires directly. ❤️‍🩹
