We had such a great time at today's market, and we brought home some extra goodies! So we're turning tomorrow into a 50% OFF BAKE SALE!

Our farmstead and rescue are both such big parts of our family's life, and we're incredibly grateful for the people who continue to show up for us in so many different ways.

El Paso Giving Day officially wrapped up last night, and we just want to take a moment to thank everyone who showed up for Desert Oasis Rescue and Sanctuary!

Whether you made a donation, shared our posts, told someone about our rescue, or simply took the time to learn more about us, we are so incredibly grateful.

As a small, family-run rescue, we don't have a big team or endless resources. We pour so much of our time, energy, and hearts into caring for these animals, and having our community stand behind us means more than we can put into words.

One of our biggest hopes for Giving Day was to reach more people and bring awareness to the animals who often get overlooked, especially the farm animals who have suffered abuse, neglect, and abandonment. We hope that through our posts, you've gotten a little glimpse into the work we do and the lives we're trying to change.

The donations raised will help us continue providing food, medical care, shelter, and second chances to animals who have nowhere else to turn. And while Giving Day is over, our work certainly isn't!

Desert Oasis Rescue and Sanctuary is a small, family-run rescue, and so much of what we do happens quietly behind the scenes. The early mornings, late nights, endless feeding and cleaning, medical cases, and all the little things that go into caring for animals who have nowhere else to turn.

Some days are incredibly rewarding. Others are exhausting, heartbreaking, and overwhelming. But every animal here is worth it, and we're grateful to have the opportunity to give them the love and care they deserve.

One of our biggest hopes for today wasn't just raising money. It was reaching people who had never heard of us before, showing our community the animals we're caring for, and hopefully building a little more support for the work we do every single day.

Because while El Paso Giving Day may only last one day, the needs of our animals don't stop when the clock strikes midnight. There will still be hungry mouths to feed tomorrow, medications to give, messes to clean, and animals depending on us.

Many of you know us through the farm stand, but you may not know that we also run Desert Oasis Rescue and Sanctuary, a nonprofit animal rescue caring for animals who have been abandoned, neglected, or simply needed a safe place to land.

Today is El Paso Giving Day, and donations to our rescue can be DOUBLED! That means $10 can turn into $20, helping us provide twice as much food, supplies, and care for the animals who depend on us, while matching funds are available.

The farmstead and rescue are two separate things, but both are a huge part of our family's everyday life. We'd be so grateful if our farmstead community would help us spread the word about the rescue today!

We're kicking off El Paso Giving Day with a little extra love from one of our rescue pups, Lizzie! You may remember her from when she came into rescue in incredibly rough shape after being dumped in the desert....and gave birth to some sweet pups almost immediately!

It’s almost time! El Paso Giving Day starts tomorrow!

Early giving for El Paso Giving Day starts October 8th and runs through October 14th, with the big Giving Day happening October 15th!

This is our first year participating, and we’re really excited about the opportunity to introduce more people to Desert Oasis Rescue and Sanctuary and the animals we care for.

Donations help us with the very real, everyday costs of rescue and sanctuary life: food and feed, veterinary care, medications, shelter, supplies, and caring for animals who need a safe place to land.
And there’s an extra reason to mark October 15th on your calendar: all donations made that day are matched! That means your donation can make an even bigger difference.

But if you can’t donate, PLEASE SHARE THIS! We’re a relatively new rescue, and getting this in front of new people is huge for us. Share it with your friends, family, neighborhood groups, coworkers, animal lovers, or anyone who might want to help a local rescue!

You never know who might see one share and decide to become part of what we’re doing.
