From the start, Market 166 has been about more than just opening a store -- we’re about building something that actually works for our community. Recently, we received results back from our market study and recommendations from our visioning session. Honestly, it gave us some real truth to chew on.

We invite all Market 166 Owners for a collaborative discussion to sharpen our vision for the path ahead. We’ll hear directly from the experts who conducted the reports, and more importantly, we’ll talk, as a community, about how we navigate this next phase together.

Keeping in mind our goal of connecting community through good food, one question we will discuss at this meeting is whether Market 166 ownership wants to move forward with the vision of a full-service grocery store. If not, how might we imagine other ways to connect community through good food?

Chef Sharon Young learned cooking tricks early in life from her grandmother while growing up in Jamaica; she and her husband started Barbara's Kitchen in honor of Sharon's mother, Barbara, in 2016. Sharon believes the most memorable moments are created around food, and ensures all products are handmade with fresh fruits and the finest ingredients.

We will have salsas, jams, and more from them available at our Mini-Market 166 store inside Atlanta Utility Works (AUW) starting next week!

How to shop: Simply grab what you want from our shelves and checkout at the AUW taproom bar.

Thank you Jessica for your time and service volunteering with Market 166!

Jessica joined our Mini Market at AUW committee about a year ago, and has been such a valuable member of the team. She has recently accepted a new full-time position and no longer has time for the committee in her new schedule so has stepped back from her role with us. We wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS Jessica!

Our co-op relies on the dedication and compassion of community members — our board and committees are all led by volunteers. We appreciate you investing in community with us!
