Tickets are now on sale for the Alaska Sustainable Beekeeping Conference on February 8, 2025 at 49th State Brewing in Anchorage. Etienne Tardif headlines an all star cast of presenters, including Cory Stevens and Medhat Nasr (scroll down for resumes). Door prizes include two 2025 packages, and a variety of beekeeping equipment.

Etienne Tardif is an internationally renowned sustainable beekeeper in the Yukon. His groundbreaking research completely changed our understanding of how colonies overwinter.
Cory Stevens is a nationally known treatment free beekeeper and queen breeder. After many years of testing and selection, his queens produce colonies with strong resistance to mite and brood diseases.
Medhat Nasr is a highly regarded apiculturist, educator, and regulator, with over 50 years of experience in both the public and the private sector.
Lisa Hay has successfully overwintered indoors and outdoors in Fairbanks since 2018. She is the Alaska Director for the Western Apicultural Society. Lisaโs articles have appeared in the American Bee journal, Bee Culture Magazine, and elsewhere.
Alex Wenninger is a local beekeeper and entomologist at the University of Alaska. She works with Alaskan honey bee pests, and recently published an article on the Beehive Honey Moth.
