Veldhuizen Cheese Veldhuizen Cheese is hand-crafted artisan cheese made in Texas. We are a family farm that cares pas We do not use hormones or antibiotics in our herd.

Our cows gaze freely, year 'round, on 180 acres of pasture which includes crops such as barley, rye, millet, and grasses. We do not use coloring or preservatives in our cheeses. The golden color of our cheeses comes from the rich milk of our cows. We are proud that our cheeses are also truly raw. We never heat the milk above 118 degrees F, with most varieties being heated to around 100 degrees F. We are not certified organic, but we use organic practices in our farming. We do not use pesticides on our land, and we grow as many of our own crops as possible. We strive to use non-GMO feed and crops as much as we can. We carry an assortment of other local, natural products in our shoppe as well such as eggs, bacon, sausage, crackers, cheesemaking kits, honey and jams. Come and see us. We'd love to meet you!

A Taste of Summer at Veldhuizen Cheese

Every season brings something a little different to the farm, and summer is no exception.

Our Green Chile Havarti is one of our favorite seasonal cheeses, made in small batches and aged for 2–3 months. We start with our mild, creamy Havarti and add green chiles for a gentle pepper flavor that brings the essence of the chile without overpowering the cheese.

And for just a little extra character, we add a touch of habañero. It doesn’t make the cheese hot, it simply leaves a little warmth at the end of each bite.

It’s the kind of cheese that belongs on a summer table: sliced for snacking, melted into your favorite dish, or shared around a cheeseboard with friends and family.

Green Chile Havarti is here for the summer season, but only while the batches last.

From our family farm to your table.
