From Cam Floyd
“MAES Farmer’s Market 26’ is over. I take this picture every year at the end of the market. The first one there at 6am and the last to leave at 6pm. The feeling of planing this market all year with our MFM Team, setting it all up the day before, seeing hundreds of faces, shaking hands, so many old and new faces, seeing well over 1,000 attendees show up, the feeling of most of our vendors selling out, scrambling to find parking for our vendors .5 a mile away, a 30 minute line of traffic just to get into our market, so much.
So much of an incredible experience that’s very hard to explain or get many people to understand how much I love our market and what we do. The small impact on a big world it has. I feel I have a lot of incredible things I focus on in my life and as a human just craving to see good in the world, nothing I do satisfies me as much as our market does. Which I guess makes it hard because it is only once a year.
At the end of each market, for the last few years, I’ve made it my personal tradition to just pause, look out over the event space and reflect on so many memories, laughs, connections made, small farms and businesses we support through the day. It’s hard to accept in the moment that so much work throughout the year, it’s over that fast, but the feeling of so much of the community coming together because of us will forever be a feeling of worth for everything we do.
Much love from me and our entire MFM Family, the staff and crew that make this event happen, and the entire community that supports us. Today is rest, tomorrow we start planning for next year. Until then, keep up with on instagram and Facebook. We’ve got a few things up our sleeve so if you missed this year, feel the regret and plan to make it next year. Lol
Cheers”
