Milestones Area Agency on Aging is one of our special guests for Thursday's Kindness Day + Wine Walk Stop at the DeWitt Farmers Market.

June is World Elder Abuse Awareness month. They are joining us to spread awareness, and also share information on their services.

Milestones AAA assists older Iowans, adults with disabilities, and their family caregivers to identify and access the services and resources needed to remain independent and self-sufficient. Milestones is your first stop for information and assistance.

You can also ask them about signing up for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, which starts today in Iowa.

We're excited to have Free Mom Hugs- Iowa join us during the whole month of June at the DeWitt Farmers Market!

Free Mom Hugs is a non-profit organization that advocates for the equality of the LGBTQ+ community by providing resources, education, and support. They work to foster acceptance, understanding, and inclusivity for all. 🏳️‍🌈

Visit them at booth #26 this Thursday from 3:30-6:30pm at Lincoln Park in DeWitt.

We're so excited to have the Power of Produce (PoP) starting back up this Thursday! 🍓

Kids ages 4-12 can sign up at the PoP Booth at each market. There is no cost to register or participate. Each week, kids will learn about health and wellness, complete a hands-on activity, and receive a $2 voucher to spend on fruits, vegetables, or eggs at the market.

This booth is provided by the Clinton County Extension - Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and their sponsors.

Thursdays from 3:30pm - 6:30pm starting June 4 and running through August 13. (They will not be there on 6/18 or 7/23).

Look for their red tent near the center of Lincoln Park in DeWitt.

We're excited for our 4th Annual Kid Biz Day + Ice Cream at the DeWitt Farmers Market happening on June 11th!

In addition to our usual vendors, we'll also be welcoming youth vendors.

We're giving young entrepreneurs ages 5-17 the opportunity to showcase their skills by running their own business for a day! As market vendors, kids may sell their products that are handmade, hand-grown, or home-baked. All market and state guidelines still apply. Adult supervision is required. Vendor fees will be waived for the kids!

This program provides a weekly food kit in the summer to families with children in the Central DeWitt School District. This kit feeds children during the months of June, July, and August while subsidized school lunches are unavailable.

Since 2014, this program has helped 2746 children struggling with food insecurity in the Central DeWitt School District.
