Meet Theresa Canfield, Prince Valley Market's Office Manager and one of our longest-tenured employees.
As Joe Gappy, owner of Prince Valley Market, likes to tell people, "Theresa came with the building."
The real story is that Theresa has worked in the same location since 1991, when it was Pay and Save. When the Gappy family purchased the store and opened Prince Valley Market in 2001, Theresa stayed on and has been a key part of the team ever since. For the past 25 years, she has helped manage the day-to-day operations of the business and proudly describes herself as "Joe's right-hand person."
A lifelong retail professional, Theresa's career began on military bases around the country while supporting her ex-husband during his military service. Today, she commutes from Melvindale and is the proud mother of four. Theresa brings decades of experience to the job. As she puts it, "I've been doing this so long, it's second nature. Nobody's perfect, but I'm darn near close."
After more than three decades in the same building, it's hard to imagine Prince Valley Market without her. Thank you, Theresa, for your dedication, leadership, and the many years you have devoted to serving our customers, supporting our team, and helping make Prince Valley Market what it is today.
