There is nothing better than a warm grilled cheese in the fall, oh wait, there is! It’s this crispy, gooey savory breaded pork and apple melt! Omaha Steaks makes this recipe even easier with their breaded Pork Tenderloin. Each bite captures the essence of the season. It is the ultimate cozy lunch to warm you up after a brisk fall afternoon of apple picking!
Ingredients:
2 Omaha Steaks Breaded Pork Tenderloins
4 slices thick sourdough bread
1 Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
2 tbsp butter, softened
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
Directions:
Bake or air-fry the Omaha Steaks Breaded Pork Tenderloins according to the package directions until golden brown, crispy, and fully cooked, then keep warm.
Spread an even layer of Dijon mustard onto the inside of each sourdough slice, and butter the outside of each slice.
Layer the bottom slice of bread with one slice of cheddar, the warm breaded pork tenderloin, a layer of thinly sliced apples, and a second slice of cheddar, then top with the remaining slice of bread.
Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat and cook the sandwich for 4 to 5 minutes per side, pressing down slightly with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
