PRODUCER HIGHLIGHT: Favorite Creamery 🐐

Established in 2023, Favorite creamery is owned by the Korver and Dykstra families in Orange City, Iowa. Justin Korver had been crafting goat cheeses for years, having raised goats since his time in 4-H. He even met his wife, Brittany, while showing goats in 4-H shows!

Partnering with James Dykstra helped them to build their dream: a state-of-the-art goat creamery. Their inventive flavored soft cheeses are available throughout the Co-op:
🥓 garlic and bacon
🧅 caramelized onion
🌶️ Calabrian pepper and orange
🍅 tomato and pepper
🫒 olive bruschetta
🍓 white chocolate raspberry
Or, just get it plain! Goat cheese is delicious on sandwiches, pizzas, or as a dip.

I hope you are all enjoying the holiday! We thought we would work on this holiday but our A/C is out (scheduled service tomorrow) and the customer volume today is so low that we have decided to close early. We will next be open on Friday, 5/29 from noon to 7 pm and will have a nicely restocked retail space if you would like to visit us then! Thank you for supporting our local independent food system!!

People are asking us: are there organic options at the Iowa Food Co-op? YES!

We have high standards for our producers and truly believe they all make great products. Organic certification is difficult and expensive, but these producers have what it takes.

Tip: to find even more organic foods on our website, select 'certified organic' in the production type search filter.
