FoodShare Bamberg, Hampton, and Charleston/Berkeley is looking to connect with local farmers and growers across the Lowcountry and Midlands who are interested in new opportunities to get their fresh produce into the hands of families throughout our communities.

We’re partnering with FoodShare South Carolina and ACRE — the Agribusiness Center for Research and Entrepreneurship to increase the amount of locally grown produce included in our bi-weekly Fresh Food Box program.

If you grow fruits or vegetables and want to learn more about becoming a FoodShare supplier, we invite you to join us for a Farmer Information Lunch.

We will be at the Berm again across from McDonalds tomorrow September 22nd from 12-2pm. We have multiple varieties of peppers from sweet to spicy, fresh herbs, fall seedlings and more. We’ll be there 12pm-2pm. Our summer produce is winding down as we transition to fall crops so come get the last of summer produce while you can!

Let your herbs flower! The Eastern Black Swallowtail loves making a home in fennel, parsley and other umbellifers. They are great pollinators for our wildflowers and are an important part of our ecosystem here in the low county and midlands.

Youth of Bamberg, our farm manager will be facilitating this free K-pop Club at the Bamberg County main library! Snacks will be provided. This is a free club! We’ll be staring off with Wonder Girls “Tell Me”on September 2nd at 4:30pm. We hope to see you there!

Mr. Albert our seed starting and dripline specialist and longest team member is going to show how we prep our beds from start to finish.

*note: We always reuse our ground cover. These are UV rated for five years. This drastically cut our weeding time down as we are a small team. Two full time and one seasonal part time.
