Country View Meats We naturally raise and breed pigs on our family farm. In addition to raising our own pigs, we now also process the pigs on premise.

I want to catch up on sharing updates about the planting season. As of last week, we finished planting almost 30 acres of potatoes and have also planted 8 acres of oats to serve as animal feed. Our plans for this week include planting around 40-45 acres each of corn and soybeans, crops that will feed our animals all year round. Adam has his high tunnel planted full of tomatoes. This week he will be planting the rest of his produce in the garden.

Meet the Farmers: Joel and Erin come from a long line of farmers. Erin's family farmed crops and produce; Joel’s family also grew crops, but Joel has been raising animals since he was a child. Beginning with raising hogs for a 4-H project at age 10, Joel has continued to learn more and grow as a livestock Farmer.

In 2020, Joel and Erin decided to branch off from the family Farm and create Country View Meats. This new endeavor allowed Joel to pursue his passion of hog raising and give him the time and resources to further refine it. Along with their three sons, they continue to farm as a family, much like their parents did with them.
