The building is in the shape of Peanuts' Snoopy Dog House to honor our departed sister who was a big Peanuts fan.

"I stopped In for the first time yesterday. Wasn’t expecting to take anything. Wanted to see what may be needed. Got emotional because I believe you are awesome to help others in need. What a Blessing🙏"

The dog house seems to change moment to moment but is should never be short on hope, and the message, people care... your community cares.

Added costumes to the clothes line. Some might need a few stitches but overall in pretty good condition.

Sometimes you have to be creative. These are hotdog wraps. Grilled hotdog, cheese, tomato in a flour tortilla, on a bed of lettuce, side of chips and grapes. The cost to make this meal was 4 cents.

Seen in this photo are two remaining burritos. I think we all know who made those. The burritos are well know at the Snoopy House.

Earlier this week breakfast sliders were found in the Snoopy House. 2 sliders - Eggs, sausage, cheese on a bun. with a grapes and strawberries on the side.
The cost was 13 cents. We purchased the sausage from Blanchard's ($1 a package). The rest was donated from different sources.

This is salvaged food.. these Halloween cupcake appear to have been dropped. The container remains closed, they are within the best used date, but they no longer look pretty.
They taste the same but visually, they are no longer sellable.

Our local chef prepared some spaghetti and meatballs dinners. You never know what you might find in the Snoopy House.

When I tell people I make meals from salvaged food, the food stores would throw away, they image the food coming from a trash dumpster.
This is the reality. This is the Monday pick-up at Sam's Club. I took the photo taken today. Thanks to M47 Tabernacle Church and Isabella County Food Kitchen.

Lots of cloths have been donated this week. I will go through the clothes and have them on the clothesline soon.

We do not accept grants. The rumor or speculation continues.

This week we put chicken salad sandwiches, chips with a fresh fruit garnish. The cost to the Snoopy House was only the cost to run the refrigerator and the to-go containers.
We stocked the refrigerator with beef fajita meals at the cost of this meal was about 12 cents each because we needed to purchase guacamole mix.
We offered broccoli salads at no cost to the Snoopy House other than electricity and to-go containers.
Added brats meals, brats topped with grilled peppers, caramelized onions and sautéed mushroom and two cookies. The cost was 35 cents a meal because I bought bread from Blanchard's.

Why would we need a grant? The food is out there. So much being thrown out. The question should be, why do churches need grants to help feed people?

Someone added some pumpkins to the dog house. I love the fall look. Will the Great Pumpkin come this year?
