FAQ #2:
How much for a whole beef?
Well, that depends on the type of beef you choose. Angus is a high quality meat, but a little more expensive. Longhorns are another good beef but may be a little cheaper. Of course there are other varieties, to choose from. The local farmers we get our beef from set their price. Last week, the average market price for live cattle was around $2.40/lb. To give an example, a 1000 lb live cow would have cost about $2400 to the farmer plus processing. Processing on this average size beef will run about $800-$1000. Keep in mind, beef prices change frequently and can affect the total cost of the beef. No matter what, you will get enough meat to fill your freezer for quite some time! Call us to book yours!
