Our employees work far too hard to be treated—or threatened—the way they were this weekend.

A customer selected a cake directly from our cake book. Our team made the cake exactly as shown and exactly as ordered. Upon pickup, she complained that it matched the design she personally chose..... demanded a discount, demanded a remake that was not possible (on a Sunday with no decorator), and when she didn't get the answer she wanted, slammed the cake onto the floor.

As if that wasn't enough, she then threatened our store manager before leaving the store.

Disagreeing with a product is one thing. Throwing a tantrum, destroying property, and threatening our employees is another.

Our employees are human beings. They show up every day, work hard, serve this community, and deserve to be treated with basic respect and decency.

Let this serve as a reminder: we will not tolerate abusive behavior, threats, or destruction of property in our stores. Anyone engaging in this type of conduct will be permanently banned from our locations, and we will pursue all available legal remedies to the fullest extent of the law.
