Formally a Jerry’s Supermarket, Dave took over this location and totally gutted and revamped this building – right down to the studs- in March of 2011

A dinner idea straight from this week’s ad: Crispy Pork Cutlets with Warm Apple & Cabbage Slaw. 🍎

Even better? The pork cutlets, MacIntosh apples, green cabbage, sweet onions, breadcrumbs, olive oil and Dijon mustard are ALL on sale this week!

You’ll need:
1½ lbs. cubed pork sirloin cutlets
½ cup flour
2 eggs
1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
Salt & pepper
Olive oil, for cooking

For the slaw:
½ green cabbage, thinly sliced
2 Macntosh apples, thinly sliced
1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. apple c***r vinegar
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 tbsp. maple syrup or honey
Salt & pepper

To make it:
Season the pork with salt and pepper. Set up three shallow bowls with flour, beaten eggs and breadcrumbs. Coat each cutlet in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.

Heat a thin layer of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the cutlets for about 2–3 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden brown and the pork reaches 145°F. Transfer to a plate and let rest.

For the slaw, heat 1 tbsp. olive oil and the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 2–3 minutes. Add the cabbage and cook for about 5 minutes, until it starts to soften. Add the apples and cook for another 2–3 minutes.

Whisk together the apple c***r vinegar, Dijon and maple syrup or honey. Add to the skillet, toss to coat and season with salt and pepper.

Serve the crispy pork cutlets with the warm apple & cabbage slaw on the side. Save this one for dinner this week. 🍎
