Texas Fenceline Chili
So named for the Chilipequins used to make this wonderful chili, and the location where the bush can typically be found, DEMIA Company is pleased to bring you a taste of home. Texas Fenceline Chili is simply the best and will soon be available for purchase. We have always called the chili, “chili” and have been looked at with dismay when introducing a jar of the homemade c
oncoction. Most people associate chili with a spicy ground beef dish eaten with crackers, cheese and onions. This is by no means that type of chili. What began as a “who can make the hottest batch of chili” has been refined over the past two decades to bring you a chili like none other. Initially so hot it had to be “cut” by cooking a couple tomatoes over an open fire, peeling and crushing the tomatoes in a molcajete (mortar), throwing in some minced onions and a tablespoon of the former hot chili. Perfect for a Sunday bar be que! The soon to be marketed version may vary slightly in price depending on the availability of the chilis. This may also depend on the local weather. The harvesting of the chilis is very labor intensive, which at times also influences the price. The chilis come from our own property located along the Aransas River. Made from all natural ingredients the hearty flavor can best be described as Medium/Hot and can be eaten with a variety dishes. There is no Mild, Medium or Hot variety. The taste will vary from batch to batch depending on the amount of Green versus Red chilis that are used in the preparation of the batch but will always remain within the Medium/Hot range. The jar was specifically chosen so one can eat the chili straight from the container. Many jars have been eaten in one sitting with chips! We hope this reminds you of home, as it does us, and keeps you anxiously awaiting the next available batch. We can mail you a jar, or a case, via USPS. You can also visit us at a show we may be attending and we will keep those dates posted should we decide to showcase the product. Please be patient as our company is still in the infant stages but will soon be ready to sell our product. The DEMIA Company family wishes you the best and we appreciate your future patronage.
