T&LC Farmstand T&LC farmstand is operated by a 3 1/2 year-old boy with a little help from his grandma.

Our goal is to give him hands-on lessons in responsibility and money management while teaching him the value of caring for animals and working hard.

It’s a very sad day on the farm today. Our chickens were out foraging and got outside of their fence. In an effort to get back into the yard, Snow White, our only leghorn hen, came through the main fence where our dogs were playing. Unfortunately our black dog found her. Snow White died as a result of that encounter.

Morning Rounds at T&LC Farmstand! 🥚🐶✨

Our 3½-year-old manager is hard at work today! After a successful chicken egg run, he’s heading straight into the duck pen to see what Drake and the girls have left for him.

Even our farm dog wanted to get in on the action, giving the basket a thorough sniff-inspection to make sure everything was up to code! 🐕

Every morning routine like this helps our young entrepreneur learn the value of hard work and caring for our animals. Thank you for supporting his learning journey! ❤️

SUNDAY OPENING & WINTER UPDATE! 🥚🚜✨

Mark your calendars, neighbors! T&LC Farmstand will be officially OPEN this Sunday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM!

On the Stand This Sunday:
3+ Dozen Fresh Chicken Eggs — $2.50 / dozen
2 Cartons Fresh Duck Eggs — $2.00 / half dozen

Important Schedule Update: 📥
Due to the incredible volume of pre-orders we’ve been receiving (thank you so much!), we will be moving to a Sunday-only schedule for the time being. This ensures we have enough fresh stock ready for everyone who visits the stand!

Looking Ahead to Winter: ❄️
Once we move into more winter-like weather, we will be closing the farm stand down for the season until spring. We want to make sure our 15 hens and duck trio stay warm and cozy, and our young operator gets a little winter break, too!

However, you can still order chicken and duck eggs, and we can make arrangements for you to pick them up. Our ducks will continue to lay regularly throughout the winter, but we expect the chickens to slow down a little until spring. So please be sure to send us a message if you’re in need of eggs. And remember that each duck egg is equivalent to one and 1/2 chicken eggs. And they are wonderful for your baking needs.

A BIG FLOCK THANK YOU FOR THE SWISS CHARD! 🥬🦆🐓✨

A huge thank you to our sweet friend who dropped off a generous bag of fresh Swiss chard for our flock yesterday!

Our chickens and ducks were thrilled, but serving leafy greens is a bit of a science around here!

Chickens vs. Ducks: The Swiss Chard Prep! 💡
For the Chickens: We can hand whole stalks or large leaves right to the hens! Chickens love using their beaks to tear and shred through big leaves while foraging around the yard.
For the Ducks: Ducks don't chew or tear food like chickens do—they swallow things whole! To keep our duck trio (Drake and the girls) safe from choking, their Swiss chard has to be finely chopped up and floated in a shallow bowl of fresh water so they can scoop and swallow it easily.

Thank you again for spoiling our flock and supporting our young operator's learning journey! ❤️

CHICKEN EGGS SOLD OUT & PRE-ORDER UPDATE! 🥳🌾✨

Thank you to our wonderful local community! We are officially SOLD OUT of chicken eggs for today!

Current Inventory Status:
Duck Eggs: 1 carton (half dozen) available right now at the stand ($2.00)! 🦆
Chicken Eggs: Sold out for the day! 🐓

How Pre-Orders Work at T&LC Farmstand: 📥
Did you know you can pre-order fresh eggs directly through private message?
Chicken Eggs: Our 15 hens lay anywhere from 5 to 15 eggs a day depending on how they're feeling, so we can usually fulfill a chicken egg pre-order within 2 to 3 days! Sometimes even sooner depending upon our current pre-orders.
Duck Eggs: With our 2 hard-working female ducks, it takes about 3 to 5 days (usually right around 4 days since they're super consistent!) to get a fresh half-dozen ready for you.

Send us a direct message anytime to reserve your cartons for the week!

Thank you for supporting our 3½-year-old operator on his learning journey! ❤️

We will close up the farm stand once the last carton of duck eggs are gone for today. We want to thank all of our customers for their support. Our little manager is still finishing up his nap, but once he wakes up, we’ll be walking up to the farm stand for more thorough inventory.

MEET OUR PEKIN DUCK TRIO: THE POULTRY PIONEERS! 🦆🌾✨

While our chicken flock gets a lot of attention, it was actually our three Pekin ducks who started it all!

We’ve had this trio for about a year and a half, making them the original pioneers of our poultry farming journey. We have two females and one male. Since male ducks are officially called drakes, we naturally named our guy Drake!

Fun Facts About Pekin Ducks: 💡
American Classics: Popularized in North America in the 1800s, Pekin ducks are famous for their bright white feathers and orange bills.
Water Lovers: Ducks produce natural oil to waterproof their feathers, keeping them afloat and warm even in chilly Ohio weather.
Baking Superstars: Duck eggs have larger yolks and higher fat content, making them a baker's favorite for fluffy cakes and rich pastries!

Why Duck Eggs Are Notoriously Dirty: 🧽
If you've ever bought our duck eggs, you've probably noticed they can be a bit muddy! Ducks love playing in water, mud, and wet soil. Plus, unlike chickens who prefer nesting boxes, ducks tend to lay their eggs wherever they please on the coop floor, in the mud next to their swimming pool, or in the yard while on a walk —meaning their eggs naturally pick up a bit of farm-fresh dirt!

CHICKEN EGG RESTOCK & DOUBLE YOLK SURPRISE! 🥚✨

Fresh restock alert at T&LC Farmstand! We just added fresh chicken eggs to the stand ($2.50 / dozen), but today's batch comes with an extra special surprise...

One lucky customer today is going to get a DOUBLE YOLK EGG in their carton! 🥳

Can you guess which egg in the photo is the double yolk? Drop your guess in the comments below! 👇

Did You Know? Why Young Hens Lay Double Yolks: 💡
As our young hens are maturing, their reproductive systems are still syncing up. Occasionally, a hen's o***y releases two yolks during her ovulation cycle instead of one! Both yolks travel through the egg-forming process together, creating a bonus double-yolk egg inside a single shell. It's a completely natural (and tasty!) double treat!

Stop by today to grab your fresh farm eggs, see if you got the double yolk, and support our 3½-year-old operator on his learning journey! ❤️

MEET THE GIRLS WHO STARTED IT ALL: OUR 4 BUFF ORPINGTON HENS! 🐓🌾✨

Every journey has a beginning, and for T&LC Farmstand, it all started with these four lovely ladies!

On March 2, 2026, these four Buff Orpington hens arrived at our farm as tiny, day-old chicks. Raising them from day one was what sparked our young manager's passion for animal care and taught him the daily responsibilities of feeding, watering, and looking after a flock.

Now, they are the sweet, fluffy matriarchs of our chicken yard and key contributors to our fresh egg supply!

Fun Facts About Buff Orpington Hens: 💡
Sweet & Docile: Often called the "dogs of the chicken world," Buff Orpingtons are famously friendly, calm, and love interacting with people (especially when treats are involved!).
Broody Beauties: They are known for being wonderful, protective mothers with strong mothering instincts.
Reliable Layers: They lay medium-to-large light brown eggs consistently—even straight through the chilly winter months!
Fluffy Warmth: Their extra-fluffy, dense feathers keep them super cozy in cold weather and give them their signature heavy, rounded look.

Without these four girls, T&LC Farmstand wouldn't be where it is today! ❤️
