Today is the last day of the farmers market! Come check us out from now until 1PM.

It's raining and gloomy, but we are out here! We will be at 1391 Grandview Avenue from now until 1 pm, and then we're having celebratory lunch somewhere. Last day of the farmers market! Thanks everyone for your support all year, stay tuned for future events. We have three coming up which I will talk about later.

Have you heard of ground or husk cherries before? They are in the same genus as tomatillos, so they're covered in this thin papery shell on the outside. Peel them open and you'll see this lovely berry with a texture in between a grape and a tomato! These are great to eat on their own by the handful, but perhaps you want to try making them into a fruit compote or a salad! Come and try them out today from 10-1.

Have you tried the Impossible Jams bourbon peach? Come visit us tomorrow at the market to try this and their other wonderful flavors available! We will be there from 10-1!

The question that we get most often at farmer's markets is 'what do you do with this jam?' (and there are a myriad of answers, believe you me.)
The question that we get the second most around here is 'what is your personal favorite?', and if I'm being honest this triggers a completely separate function.

Behind-the-scenes we weigh our options on what we have the most of, or whatever isn't moving very fast and say that one is our personal favorite. I usually say "Well MY favorite is X, but EVERYONES favorite is Bourbon Peach"
And then they try the Bourbon Peach, because that is for real everyone's favorite.

It is so well liked that every time I make jam, which is daily, I usually have to start with a double batch of Bourbon Peach to keep up with the demand. I'm thrilled that I've made something so many people like. It's predictable in a good way.

Have you tried the Bourbon Peach lately? This weekend you have multiple locations where you can try it, and all the other fun flavors you've come to know and love. We will be at The Dublin Market at Bridge Park at 6634 Riverside Drive from 9 until noon, and we will be at the Grandview Avenue Farmers Market at 1391 Grandview Avenue from 10 until 1. Stop by either location for your jam fix, and some free samples. You can tell me how manipulative it is to change my answers depending on internal market pressures!

These tomatoes may not be ready yet (unless you love Fried Green Tomatoes!) but the ones at the market will be juicy, sun ripened, and fresh out of the garden. We can't wait to see you all on Saturday from 10-1 for our first market of the year!
