June is National Dairy Month!

June is National Dairy Month — a time to celebrate the hardworking farmers and family dairy farms that help provide daily staples for our communities.

National Dairy Month has been recognized since 1939 and continues to serve as a reminder of the important role dairy farms play in feeding families, supporting local economies, and keeping farming traditions alive.

Dairy foods such as milk, yogurt, and cheese are naturally rich in essential nutrients, including calcium, potassium, and vitamin D. These nutrients help support strong bones, overall wellness, and a healthy lifestyle.

This month, we encourage you to celebrate dairy by touring a local farm, attending a community farm event, or simply choosing local dairy products for your family.

At Delivered Fresh, we are proud to work with local dairy farmers who bring high-quality products right to your door, including:

Painterland Sister's
Ebling Farms
Milky Way Farms
Engelbert Farms
Mystic Meadows
Backroad Creamery
God’s Country Creamery
Our Five Acre Homestead

Throughout the month of June, keep an eye out for weekly dairy specials on Delivered Fresh!

June Special: Ebling Farms is offering $1.50 off their gallon of Raw A2A2 Milk for the entire month.

Thank you for supporting local farms, family businesses, and the hardworking dairy producers who help keep our communities nourished.

Order your local dairy favorites this month and celebrate National Dairy Month with Delivered Fresh!

Spring on the Farm

Spring is in full swing, and we’ve been busy working around the farm, trying to bring a few projects back to life.

One of the biggest projects right now is the greenhouse. It is far from finished, but it is finally starting to come together. When we started working on it, there were already peach trees and strawberry plants growing, which felt like a little reminder that we could bring it back to what it once was.

Since then, we’ve added blue potatoes, watermelon, ginger, elderberry, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and flowers. We’ll see how everything does! We still have more to plant, more cleaning up to do, and plenty of mulch to add, but it feels good to see progress.

We’ve also been working on our outside gardens, though they are still in need of a lot of TLC. Like many small farms and homesteads, we’re learning that sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t planting — it’s keeping the groundhogs, rabbits, and other hungry visitors from enjoying everything first. We’ve already lost quite a few plants, so we’ll see what makes it.

That’s part of the process around here. Everything takes time, and we are so excited to continue bringing Windstone Landing Farms back to life, little by little.

As many of you know, we added a few chickens a few months ago. After some trial and error, we finally figured out a way to keep most of the predators — mostly the red hawk — from enjoying our chickens. That feels like a win!

And now we’re thinking we may add another animal soon… any guesses what it might be?

Continue to follow along to find out. Thank you for supporting Delivered Fresh and being part of this journey with us.

Fresh from our farmers to your door!
